The 830whp Evo was the camera car for the first two races. The 280z had a 42R turbo, which I would imagine at full tilt on a 2jz would make over 1000whp on a 6spd car.

Stunning. From the video, it does not look like the Mitsubishi is going anywhere fast. So deceptive. Anything that I have ever been around that ran those numbers was a pretty hairy ride unless it was a chassis drag car.

As for my track times, please post your videos and timeslips in your signature. I don't mind eating crow when I have it coming, but I want to see what the person heckling me has.

Even still, when I watch the video of the drag strip pass, that car is so calm & straight down the track, I would have never guessed the number that showed up on the timer board at the end of the track.

The car is very unassuming looking too. Glad I did not run into that one in "Mexico" in my younger days. He would have taken my money.
That evo left soft and still hit pretty good numbers. I've seen some of these evo's at Byron and they can be so sickeningly fast. One of them broke on the line though, probably why the high HP guys don't launch them hard out the gate.

I know I'll catch **** for this, but I don't have any times on my current setup.

This is a video from a while back, making about 700hp, 17" street tires, full weight, 1/8th mile.

Some language in the video from my drunken camera crew, sorry.

6.66 @ 111mph in the 1/8th. Never took it to 1/4 as the closest one was 3hrs away.
