A cobra has a 1.8l positive displacement blower on top of that 4.6l. Last time I checked a 6.4l is bigger than a 5.7l...

I sold my SS to buy a house. Just picked up the car in my sig with a bad motor for $2800 though. Wasn't really looking to buy right now but figured I could part it out for a lot more than what I paid if I wanted to. Currently in the process of a turbo build though. We will see how it goes, ha.

a few years ago I picked a cheap junk yard navigator motor and put forged rods and pistons to the already stock forged crank. i cut and widened the '03/'04 intake manifold and put a kennebell on top. this was just as the GT500 was coming out so a 5.4L with the charger on top was rare.

wouldnt that be the same as the expensive GT motor?

Hio the 4.6 has been deep in the 9s on motor and faster then lsx anything with a turbo so much for a pissy *** motor.. also 4v>2v>3v.... idk who told gm folks that it was ok for you add the liter of the blower to the liter of the engine lol

So ws since you have pretty much admitted to being full of **** I really don't know what to say. I'm sure you will continue threw life comparing $175000 ford gt's to $5200 crate engine bought out of necessity......by the way I hope you're not majoring in economics and I hope my tax dollars are'nt going to support your schooling (or your mother) in any way.

And please since you and anyone else for that matter feel free to continueing to whine about my clutch. Let me know when anyone else comes up with a solution to eliminate f-body clutch issues.....since I'm such a idiot.

And just so ya know....yes 4.6's need boost. The ones I have ran into need more boost, and that was with a spec3 and a stock t-56. If you think they don't need boost. How many 03/04 Cobra's have you seen converted to n/a?

Now continue on living and posting in your fantasy build world and I will ignore your posts.

Nice RACE cars stoppy. Yep you guys are right, no ls stuff can go that fast.

Once again you ford guys are posting cars that are'nt yours.

The funny part is a bolt-on ls7 has out mph'd both of them.

The first vid in impressive, although I wouldn't call 9.7xx deep into the 9's. Obviously the 2nd is a 5.4 and not a 4.6. There are plenty of lsx's running those times.

i built the motor for an older friend and unfortunately went into a crown vic. i had an opportunity to buy the motor about two years ago but i was pretty broke at the time

its gone now, but it was a great build and the torque was violent but never had a good tune on it as i wasn't that involved at that point of the project. i wish i had the chance to scoop it up now.

Funniest part is I bought the nav motor out of the junk yard for $300. This thread has me thinking to build one for myself especially now with the GT500s that should solve the lower manifold dilemma I had back then. The junk motors are over 1200!

The 4.6 has gone 9.20s at 146 N/A in a Foxbody. That car belonged to Scott Cushman of VT Engines in '06. For comparison, the fastest N/A 346-LS1 powered Fox went 9.0@150.

On my phone so im going to be brief...lets just say youre an idiot to keep it short. no one would convert a boosted motor back to n/a. nor was i comparing your motor to the gt's, just saying what i prefer. whats funny is i actually find your car impressive for what it is...especially since its on the 10 bolt. if youd stop spewing ignorance from your semen trap you might have got that out of me earlier.

dont worry about my education or degree though. im worried about yours. no one in my family needs any support from our gov. Hell, by the way you type you come off as having the intellect of an 8th grader...so worry about yourself. .

ps- my fantasy build doesnt involer a focus..lol i just thought it was pretty cool the amount of fab work that went into it. Unlike u i can appreciae just about anything, fast or slow and however it makes power...boost cubes nitrous big block 4cyl racegas...whatever. i would however love to take a sonic blue terminator and slap an lsx with whipple on top in it.

The car that ran the 9.72 is a class car 2v (restrictions) but he did take some extra weight out and put q16 in it. 99 I am on my phone and didn't get a chance to edit it but regardless adding blower displacement is dumb. The h/c/I record car is a racecar too but you don't here anybody birching about that. Also never said a lsx hasn't been 9s just pointing out how delusional hio is.

Anything but your car is a race car. And why do you think winning at the 1/4th is in the MPH and not the ET? Do you understand how drag racing works? This is the 2nd time lately you are talking MPH and not ET.
