Quarter mile is one thing. Very driver dependant.
0-150 is also driver dependant but once your in third at 90ish its the vehicles power and a easy shift to fourth to 150 mph.
16. 4 for both cars is amazing.
However even you must admit that after 3 or 4 highway battles the zr1 supercharger would heat vsoak and lose more power than the naturally asperated viper.
Keep in mind the viper did that 16.4 all american engine. How sick is that? Props to the zr1 but Id prefer a z06 any day of the week

Does OP still think a viper outperforms a ZR1?
Just watching Killemalls youtube videos I am convinced he's semi retarded.
In no way do I mean to be offensive.
Also chargers are slow.

When your talking about cars as rae as a 08 viper or zr1 sadly magazine racing is all we will likely see.
5k gen4 vipers and 8k zr1s if memory serves. Chance of these two meeting on a road somewere with owners who actually wanna race are as likely as one of us running into a bugatti.
Been 4 years since they came out and still not one street racing vid on youtube to see what will really happen.
Never seen a gen4 viper or zr1 cruizin the streets here in Hawaii

Yep. The zr1and gen4 is the closest american battle in many years.
The gen4 viper has kinda been under the radar since 08. Its an extremely rare car that looks nearly identical to the 03-06 vipers people have been seeing for 9 years. Dodge did a horrible job advertiseing this car.
You noticed the acr viper. With its two tone paint and first place track times. But it seemed to me that the non acr vipers became somewhat of a forgotten bastard.
The non acr vipers are the ones touching 130 mph plus stock and that got tens stock. They are theo! nes that run 202 mph and were a second faster on short tracks head to head against the z06 in 2008.
Basically theywere forgotten about. A 550 rwhp 34$$ pound car just forgotten about when the acr went 7.22 at the ring a few years ago (now 7.12)
On the other hand the supervette aka blue devil aka zr1 was exactly the opposit. This car was extremely well hyped by chevy. Before its first test review of a actual production model it was already viewed as americas fastest sports car.
But what really happenned? It was tested and the actual production model was in the 124-128 mph range. The 0-150 was in the mid 16-low 17 range.
Truth be told the supervette never tested to be any faster than the 08 non acr viper. They were as equal as could be from et to mph to 150 mph to brakeing ect. Considering the gen4 viper is rarer and at 92k vs 115k significantly cheaper, you would think this would be praised as americas super car.
But with the amazeing advertiseing of the zr1 and non existent advertiseing of the non acr the world views the zr1 and acr viper as the be all end all and the non acr viper as being equal to the z06.
Non acr viper is probally americas best secret. You can go out today and buy a used 08 viper for 60k that does everything the zr1 does in a more exclusive wrapper. But no one even knows what it runs at the Ring ect thanks to Dodge.

look at the lead the viper had (due to tanner being a douche on the launch) and the ZR1 still ran it down. The ZR1 is faster, maybe not by a whole lot but it is. That being said both cars are very different in what they do and both are badass and I would be extremely pleased to ever own either of those cars. ZR1 makes more power and weighs less, the outcome is simple.

Which proves with equal launch the zr1 would have been ahead by that much more. But agreed, a mistake one way or the other will cause a win or loss for the other person. Id take either lol
