Making fun of a Monte SS I ususally don't post easy kills, but this one was amusing. I was heading home from my girlfriends house last night around 1230PM. I was doing 80 or so with the Passport 8500 giving me the 'all clear'. I pass a new Monte SS in the fast lane and just mind my own business. Suddenly I see him gaining on me, then passes. He slows down and does it again, and again. 4th time he pull this **** I hit it when he was about 5 cars ahead. I pass him at warp speed and put 1/8 of a mile between him and me, at which point I was doing 135. Then he catches up after I slow down, and starts the **** again, but this time I just start to **** with him. I put the car in D and just start to floor it and let off.....just enough so he could not pass me. He gets to a slower car and gets behind me. I jump into the fast lane with him 2 cars back and just start to slam on the breaks and gas, making my car bob......and he still did not have the juice to pass. He starts to flash his brights at me and honk. I just laugh and tear off, take my off ramp and never see him again. Loser 
no one could be stupid enough to think that a stock SS monte carlo could beat an SS, it's obvious that he's done a little to the car at least with the hood, grill and exhaust...morons
lol nice kill. i had one mess with me about 6 months ago and literlly killed it. i got off my exit and some guy in a truck saw what happen and at first i thought he was going to start yelling at me about racing, but he says "that was cool" lmao

Man, I can't stand the new Monte's either... Not only do they look bad, but they are 6 cylinders and front wheel drive, WTF is up with that? Oh yeah, and if it was at night, it was 12:30 AM, not PM(assuming you live in the northern hemisphere)

Arent the Monte SS's SC...still only 260 HP...makes me sad to see what the Monte has turned into...wish GM would put a damn LS1 in there and really represent the SS name/heritage...O well

Before I bought my Z28 I had a '96 Z34.....nice car, but a boat....and definately not fast. I certainly was smart enough not to try and race any LS1s/LT1s. I don't see anything wrong with the new Supercharged Montes......at least nothing wrong with them that's not wrong with a GTP. And face it....I'd rather have a 2004 supercharged Monte than a 1985 Monte SS with that turd of a 305 in it.

ummmm I don't quite agree with you here. The old Montes can be made to look quite menacing. Take out the 305, drop in a healthy 383 with a Weiand 144 blower on it with full exhaust and drag suspension, and I gurantee it will make most LS1 owners think twice before taking it on.

Just about anything with those above modifications would be quite menacing......I was talking about more of a stock vs. stock comparison

Oh yeah, Stock for stock the 305 Monte would have its *** handed to it. **** a VTEC Civic can propbably give it a good run. As far as menacing goes, I saw one at a car show all blacked out with a blower sticking though the hood. Looked like the Intercepter from Mad Max. No new Monte can look like that.
