I've only gone for a ride in the pre-2012.

But from what I've read from reviews, the GT-R's ride is actually a little harsh.
Just relaying what I've read.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...-r-test-review
Low - "stiff ride eventually gets tiresome"
"the ride is still pretty stiff and active, even in comfort mode"

http://www.edmunds.com/nissan/gt-r/2012/
"Nissan's stiff-legged ride might be of concern to drivers who value comfort more than outright performance."

AGAIN, I have not been in the 2012 and I think it's an amazing car, but it looks like the ride might be a little on the stiff side.

Thanks for all the comments.

I made 505/525 with my IATs going through the roof (176*, dyno shop doesnt have a fan).

It's just a fun project. Like to see what I can do out there, one day it'll get a tire ...and maybe a converter. As it sits now, stock suspension/wheels/tires and 100% stock from throttle body to manifolds.

I'm on the corn juice in the video, probably hitting ~9psi. through the gears.

Badass! That GTR driver was "clenching his cheeks" no doubt on that one

I love how when he loses people always go to the oh if we were on a track. I am sorry but he lost and he lost bad. They both agreed to run from a roll not a track so keep it apples to apples

calm down, nobody here is denying that the GTR lost this race.

ride quality is relative. the old guys at those magazines might not not enjoy a firm ride and want to go back to their mini vans.

True, I doubt it is any different than the more than fine pre-2012.
I was just illustrating that a G8 more than likely has a more comfortable ride.

Normally the worse a vehicle handles... the more comfortable the ride

normally.

Nice vid. You can adjust the "harshness" of the ride in the GTR. 3 modes: R, regular, and comfort. Even on comfort the ride isnt going to compare to an S class Mercedes or 7 series BMW... The back seats of the GTR dont have much leg room unless the front two seats are moved way up. That being said, I dont believe the comfort and passenger/grocery capacity was a big concern when Nissan engineered the GTR. People in the market for a GTR arent buying them for cross-country roadtrips, fuel economy, or silky smooth ride. "fast" is relative, virtually any vehicle can be made fast (in a straight line) with enough money invested.

The 2013 GTR is getting another 15hp and some chassis/suspension refinements. Maybe those refinements are for comfort.
