Bolt-on C6 Z06 vs. World Record (9.97@137mph)
#22
In that kinda weather a stock viper can do 132 or a stock zr1 134. Talking stock full weight.
Pretty sure thats the same track were a stock f458 went 132 mph.
Depends on how you look at it to how impressive it really is. I give the guy props for running the number. Weight reduction or not a 9.9 at just 137 mph is really driving well. A very proud acomplishment for vette owners.
Can a viper or lambo or zr1 do it? Who cares. Rather they can or not the z06 already has. Be like russia trying t get to the moon at this point

I've been following him for a while. He also holds the record for a bolt-on ls6 et also (although I have the bolt-on ls6 mph). He does a great making these things move and has run 138mph with this one. What's funny is it took a fully built 5.0 (actually stroked to a 5.2) to run those times in a full on race car.........you readin this Stoppy?....Ohio you there??..lol After all the comparison **** I've read of 5.0 vs ls7 I just had to say it.....not really much of a comparison after all.
As a side note I have a complete rebuilt to stock ls7 for my Camaro and this makes me want to put it in.

But until the stated happens, that is all speculation

[QUOTE=Mike Morris;15704654]You were suppose to steal it and throw it in the Potomac!!!
Since you guys can't take care of this, I guess I will have to. May not throw in the river, but I'm very sure I can find a use for it. . . . . and he'll never know it was me.

are you inferring at LS7 is NOT a fully built engine? and one with all bolt ons is not even fuller(is that a word) built? and one with possible weight reduction or at least has stock 3200lbs weight is somehow to be compared to a heavier pony car?
or that somehow a 75k vette with a load of money added to it is somehow not as 'racey' as a 5.2 liter 530+rwhp pony car?
lets see.
1. the vette is lighter vs. heavier pony car
2. the vette costs more vs. most interior pony car
3. the vette has factory cnc heads vs STAGE 2 (there is stage3)
4. the vette has SEVEN liters!!!! SEVEN!!!!!!!! vs. 5.2 liters
5. -1400 DA corrects to a 14 second 1/4 mile at 110 mph (just kidding)
you made the comparison.
i dont really care though man. i think you are wasting your money on LSx stuff. for the cash you waste on that stuff SB2.2 could make 900hp easy. turn 10k rpms. most good CUP shops will sell complete motors. and you cant touch their power.

Throwing fuel on the fire...
That 9.9 Mustang was a tin can. Having 4 valves per cylinder and 4 cams helps the breathing process along to compensate for the lack of cubes...but I know you're just reverse-trolling assassinator.

Your right, it's kinda hard to compair a fully built high compression 32v 5.0(5.2)with a faceplated trans( of coarse I had to throw that in there..lol) to a docile stock production engine......especially after hear how awesome the 5.0 is.
I could car less about old sbc/bbc ****....it don't fit my car and I'm glad that **** is gone for me.

At this rate Mike, I don't think it needs a cam.
