I have driven the Cobra many times. It moves out. It has always had issues going into 4th, so we knew it was on borrowed time. Tranny will be getting rebuilt soon and it will be back terrizing.

cobra still has original power seats in front, but no trunk liner, spare, and no back seat cushions.
Car weighs around 3300lbs w/o driver
going from 3.27's to 4.10's make a huge difference on a 5 speed car, that's why most n/a cobra's don't seem so quick, because they have such horrible stock gearing.
Car went 12.7 @ 108 with only h-pipe, gears, and slicks baby launching at 3000rpm ( couldn't hook )
Now it has a CAI, handheld tuner, and bullet mufflers and picked up a couple mph.
Add the 100 shot and it picks up a good amount.
Next up is longtubes, but it requires a lot of work to install them
The $2700 cobra moves, made me want to buy one for a while to and copy the mods. If you check the mod forums you can see that they pull great times if they're modded right. However most sn95 owners are well...you know. So that's why we see them as slow.

But most people don't wanna believe it, but all you gotta do is visit a mod forum and check out some of the n/a 4valves and you can see what they're capable of with some gears and decent mods.

I agree... But i think he does have racing seats in the fron, 12lbs or so each. Its fast, but NA I kill him no questions asked. We proved that, before my tune, and trust me. I was slower then. I'll try to find the video before my tune, Still able to pull him.

Here it is... The person Filming, is a buddy in his red Z28, Look how bad he pulls us both. I end up beating the cobra NA. And this was before my tune... Once I got my tune Done, Even the 02 Z28 with Bolt ons did not stand a chance. I'll look for the Vid after my tune with me and the red Z.

Its a repeat.... But just to compare what a tune really does to a car after a cam intall.
My car being an auto sucks at rolls, rpms are never right. These guys are 5 n 6 speeds.

Wish i had long tubes and a ORY

Good Runs and thanks for posting.
OP your car has come such a long way since it was wrecked. Keep up the progress.
I was impressed with the 96 cobra and a bit surprised with only bolt ons and a 100 shot.

I have my old t45 in my garage if he needs some parts. I think it only needs syncros. My car use to make 540/650 to the tires when I was spraying and mine held up great for about 40k miles of abuse. I'm sure it helped that I never took it to the track. I only replaced it when it started whining.

Ive seen a few dyno's on the older cobras in this case a 96 and they usually pull about 240-250 rwhp. Even with full bolt ons i dont think they will touch 300rwhp and with a 100 shot and lets say atleast all 100 off that is to the wheels and im begining to think there are more bolt ons or a huge weight reduction. Regardless it was the suprising car out of all of them and it did really well. Good racing and nice vids OP.

He should be making no more than very low 400's on a 100-shot which is surely not enough to walk that CTS-V or F-bomb like that.
