No, but it went WAY faster than your pickup. We've been over this before.

Either stock, or almost stock. But all my Integra had was a different muffler.

It gets funnier all the time... There's a "current" thread on 3rd gen for those who want input from the guys who still drive those cars, and drove them when new in many cases. Some of you youngsters who claim to or insinuate you were actively racing at the time really should go get a look at what they have to say. I haven't joined the thread and don't plan to, but I drove those cars back then(not the Mustang, yet) and I drove an '86 GN... new... till I realized I couldn't afford it.

My memory may be fading, but if you're under 40... You weren't legally driving (in America) any car in 1985 anyway, so you have no memory of it at all, faded or otherwise.

THAT'S why I required at least 300 lb feet of torque!

Funny how in those days, only about 2% of the cars ran like the above mentioned. The other 98% ran nowhere those times.

The 5.0 Mustangs and L98 F-bodies I have seen run never went that quick unfortunately.

I've never personally seen them run times quite that good, but I do know that the potential is there. Which I think is important, and something too few people understand.

Good job Mike. Tpi cars took some thought/tuning type mods to get them to run.I have seen plenty of stock l98 cars go mid 14's.

After the first 3 years of injection on the mustang everyone knew how to make that car go with cookie cutter mods. They responded well because of the weight.....not because the 5.0 was great. Overall a good combo.

I could'nt afford either back then. I had a factory v8 Monza that was cheap, but pretty nice after some elbow grease.
