What do you mean? I've seen Brad Meadows in a GT500 (when they first came out) within a week of owning the car and basic bolt ons run 7 flat in the 1/8th. That is faster than you...

Also here are 3 first threads I came across on SVTP not even searching, just opened the GT500 section. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...ong-block.html
http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...07-new-pb.html
http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...ran-again.html

So to say they are not up to par is laughable. They are what they are stock because Ford is smart...put on parts to keep the cost and maintenance good while allowing for a hand full of mods and run with the BEST at the track. IMO Chevy will have absolutely nothing to offer the 2013 GT500.

I quoted this for you Stoppy, not street trim like me.
"11.11 at 124 with slicks and skinnies only" I think this guy has the record.

Why would you even post 3 threads on car with after market blowers and the last one on a completey built motor?....and try to compare them to a stock longblock car like mine w/o boost????

You wanna say Chevy has nothing to offer....cough.....zr1....cough
There is a thread on here about the fastest stock zr1, you should check it out.

Well you know how that goes...last time at the track I saw LS1 cars running 14's while I ran 12's...and I agree totally, 1/8 mile is gay but we all know a GT500 with stock gears isn't going to fall off on the top end.

11@121mph is no where near the record for stock weight. Infact it is quoted what the record is stock weight

You said the GT500 was over rated...Next time if you mean stock or with stock blower be more clear. And I wasn't comparing them to your car, I was comparing a GT500 I saw with a hand full of mods with stock weight to your car. Infact he didn't even have bigs and littles, just 17" Mustang wheels.

And if you need to compare the ZR1 Corvette to a Mustang....well

Last time I compared a mustang to a corvette I got bitched at because they are in two different classes, so I'm sure that's going to come up within the next few posts.

This is the way I see it. If a Mustang owner wants to compare their car to a Corvette they can. If they feel their Mustang is up to par with a Corvette then by all means. But if a GM owner compares a Mustang to a Corvette that is pretty lame. About like comparing a Camaro to a Ford GT.

I have yet to see a newer stock GT500 run worth a damn too-and that was all summer. However I saw a ton with blower swaps etc run like raped apes

Zl1 will have nothing on the the new GT500 I am afraid How much is it rumored to cost? If its in the Z06 price range(man they have gone up big time in the last few years-you could get one years ago around 70 ish) that is a big decision.

You tried to compare my car with a stock longblock to a built gt500 and ones with a 4.0 whipple. I don't think my car can compare to that. I don't compare my car to cars that run slicks, even though it may be faster than some. I like to run it in a dd type trim and that's what I compare to.

I go buy what I've seen at the track, and so far gt500's have not been very impressive for 500+ hp.

How street trim cts'v's??? Would you compare the gt500 to that? I seen a stock one go 12.3@116 the same day a modded/on a tire gt500 barely got to 11's and the other modded one on a tire ran 12's.

I know times can very, and sometimes internet times can be outrageous. But this is what I saw.

The 2 2012 GT500 I seen today was 66k and 53k. The one that was 66k was a convertible loaded to the gills. Some guy was trading a 2009 GT500 for the convertible. Ford "SAYS" it will cheaper then the ZL1 which has a base price of $54,995.

I am trading to an auto for sure. It will be here tomorrow. Blower swap and everything will be complete by Monday.

11.11 at 124 with slicks and skinnies only that is the fastest tire only time for a 2011.
10.60 at 133 upper, lower, long tubes and home ported, same car above. That is moving for the mods done to it.
