I remember when my 14 year old 133k mile stock shortblock 5.0 with little heads, intake, and cam hung with a C5 Z06 on the interstate. Poor guy was showing off for his buddy and about hit the wall getting over because he didn't think he would clear my nose. So yea, I find it hard to believe too TACoupe.

We are talking 5 years ago! They were OTB AFR 165s with a crappy Performer intake and 70mm TB. Car quit making power around 5,000rpms if I remember correctly and I still had the 3.08 gears in it!!!

This is gay stoppy dont ever tell anyone else that again. If it stoped making power at 5k with 165s something was terribly wrong else where

At 5k it started going down hill. Looked like I shifted at 5500. Baller

Still enough for a HCI old 5.0 to hang with a big bad Z06.

So you had some good heads and in your words a crappy intake and TB, in a 302 that quit making power at 5k rpm with gas saver gears and you hung with a C5 Z06 on the highway...Am I understanding this correctly?

lol my similar build pulled hard to the 6200 limiter with timing locked at 34 degres. When I put 13 degres base in it and put chip back in fell on its face as you described lol

I read what I posted 4 times just to make sure I said it correctly...YEP that's what I'm saying. Speaking of gas saver that thing got AMAZING mpg!

What were your e.t's and trap Stopsign? If your downplaying this much I would hope to expect 130+ trap speed.

It was a Jay Allen ******* special!! ci? It was stock uncut pistoned shortblock. You should see the dyno sheet with the snail!! At 5k it would have made for a hell of a rollercoaster!
Haha its getting deep! 400 ftlbs torque na 302. And ci meant cubic inch but you answered it with pistons. And na theres not that much a gap in hp and tq. I smell a power adder for that tq

Come on guys, have you never read a dyno sheet? Blue lines are N/A numbers and red lines are 100 shot @ 9XXpsi. Again this time I'm no BSing...no card up the sleeve trick...Here is all the mods the car had at the time of running the Z06!!

AFR 165s
Performer intake
70mm TB
Jay Allen custom cam
C&L CAI with 76mm MAF
BBK Shorty headers
Summit O/R H
Flowmaster catback
Spec aluminum flywheel
King Cobra clutch
3.08 gears
17x9 polished 03 Cobra wheels
