I never said I am brand loyal, I'd rock a GT500 in a heartbeat and don't even start me on the Ford GT. I just happen to like more GM stuff than Ford stuff.

Ohio do you have a manual or Auto just curious because if its a Manual your tranny is from China. Thats 10x worse than anything built in mexico or Canada. and probably why lots of 5.h0es are crying because there crap broke and Ford being the outstanding company they are Turned there backs on warranties.

I had a '11 manual I just traded for a '12 auto. The company that makes them/designs them is actually a German company. They are just assembled in China. With a few things actually being Chinese.

in all seriousness i would expect a 5.0 with those mods to trap maybe 115mph or so and the average cammed 5th gen runs about 116.5mph or so, so you can see why it was a good race. some 5th gens have run faster (i averaged out the fastest cam only 5th gens from camaro5) but a few of them slower.not sure about the vettes too much but with with only 365rwhp, that light weight and good aerodynamics makes up for its deficiencies pretty damned good. no surprise there

Agree. I looked hard at the SS when I got rid of my G8. It was not impressing me really with its times at the track. N/A or FI. Maybe once GM wises up and drops least 400lbs.

Exactly every car is different, I would think with the power the camaro had he should trap at least 118 but who knows. I know my bolt on only 2010 will run door to door with my buddies 99 cam only car that traps 116.

Hey ********, GM also put getrag components in some of their cars including the differential in the first gen cts-v which is a total piece of crap. And guess what, GM never issued a recall after all the broken diffs.

Mustang has come a long way. Camaro has actually regressed. Sucks but its true. The c6 platform is long in the tooth. The 436 hp vettes at 55-70k depending on options are getting waxed. Same with the camaros.

If it wernt for the Z06 and zr1 no one would even be talking about chevy these days.

Didnt used to be that way. Used to be a 28k z28 was killin cars at the strip highway ect. 14 years later a 40k ss camaro gets decimated by most competitors.

The current camaro outta be 3600 pounds and 450 hp. But chevy has their head stuck so far up their *** keeping the z06 at 505 hp so it dosent out perform their 638 hp zr1 that theres no way the ls3 vettes or camaros could be 450 plus hp like they should be by now.

Chevy needs to get it together. New camaros are quickly becoming a non thought in the performace arena. Sad since they practically built the arena from 98 till the cobras arrival in 2003

I totally disagree, I have won more races than I have lost in mine. It's all about the driver, half the people buying new camaros have never owned a performance car in their life. I do agree they should be lighter but their is some fast ones out there.

No. I like the Vette. I said the only car that GM is offering that is worth it's weight is the Vette. I do like building big, heavy, brick like trucks that will out run the slender sport car..

I had a G8 and never got better then 22-24 on the interstate/city. I know several people with them. And no one claims 30mpg. I could however manipulate the computer and then it would show I was getting 40mpg. But actually doing the math out and stuff never over 24mpg. That was when it was bone stock.
