One thing I've learned since I started checking out LS1tech; 2V Mustang owners really know how to talk ****.


I see more threads about "Can I Beat This 2V Mustang?" than any other car.

His is a manual. I think clutch, exhaust, cai, and gears is all that I know of.

I need to figure out what was all done to it out of curiosity.

It would be nice to get my headers and custom y on before hand to put the icing on the cake.

Sorry couldn't resist lol. From what I've seen in my area the majority of 2V's run like **** and are POS's. They're nothing special and take a lot of work to become even decently quick. It's damn near a waste of gas for you.

The best running one around here was a good friend of mines with an intake, tune, and 3:73's. Car was an auto and he ran 13.79 IIRC. Giving him the hit from a dig at the track when my car was just Lid/Catback I was still able to walk him easily.

Moral of the story he's running his mouth and wasting your time!

I would put cash on it... I got a buddy up in ohio that swears his 4.6l gt tuned by him that has h/c and all supporting mods swears he can smoke me....
send him my way ill take his money lol

3.905 or so is safe max bore on a LS1 block. 4" bore ain't feasible without wet-sleeving.

EDIT: Saw he has an LS2. Makes sense now.

you should be able to beat up on his vert no problem.....but mustangs aren't THAT slow.. seems like everyone on here treats them like they are 16 sec cars and on par with a civic. With just drag radials and an sct tuner and catback mine ran 13.5x's all day on stock gears.

My buddy has a convertible 2v with h/c and a 3.73 gear. Best time to date was a 13.99....

I don't have a ls1.... Look at my Sig pic or even my profile pic.. I was informing with this guy that a lot of mustang guys talk mad sht.. I gave him a time slip of a 4.6l gt with headers ran against mine when it was stock

I seen a 06+ v6 auto stang with the cobra body kit run a 16.8 1/4.. Looked just just like a real cobra... Needless to say he spend a lot on the kit and had it painted. Guys like him are the reason we have alot of "v8 killaz" I can't remeber what the v6 camaro with ss badges ran... But it was far worse

not to long after i got my car, seen my cousin at the car wash. Convo went something like this:

Him:when you get that
Me:few weeks ago
Him: ls1 or lt1
Me:ls1
Him: whats done to it
Me:catback and lid
Him: Ill beat it.

I thought that was alittle cocky.

Hes got an 06 M5. I think all he had done at the time was true duals, I think 410 gears, CAI, tune, and a short throw possibly.

Now I think he would probably beat me if he doesnt spin taking off, but what you guys think about that race?

I know the 06 is a whole different animal than the 01

I figured but asked anyways.

Hes one of those where ford is god, anything else sucks no matter what.

I did text him throughout the day though, and we got talking (no trash talking) and he admitted I may have him if he cant get traction.

May wait till I get the lt's on my car and see how it goes in the spring for the hell of it
