Maybe I'll see him around again and I can get a closer look, preferably not from my rear view mirror next time.

OP has very light boltons. he aint sniffing 112mph lay off the homer juice. i bet he is more around 107mph esp since he is an a4. stock srt8 have trapped 110mph. and pretty sure have run bottom 13's and high 12's stock. so if the srt8 was tuned with exhaust and i bet an intake. i can see one not having much trouble walking away from a light bolt-on a4 TA. heck I can walk a light bolton ls1. obviously anyhting can happen on the street. but for arguments sake. a srt8 will rape a ls1 from a roll. 100% vs an a4 ls1. and even an m6 will not trap the same consistently. yes obviously there some that have run slow. but for ever stock m6 ls1 than trapped 109-110 mph stock...an srt8 that was driven equally good would have trapped 111-112. Good kill to the OP. but you probably should have actually lost. and esp not put 3 cars on one.

Exactly. Record for a BONE STOCK down to the tires SRT8 is a 12.5X...This was done by a 300c many years ago. Only way it was a 6.1 is if the driver totally failed as a driver. Even if it were an AUTO this could happen. Hell ive done it before. Have the car in auto stick and slap it up a gear to soon on accident and had the car fall flat on its face. or spin into the next gear basically causing the car to do the samething.

I dont get how its so hard to believe here we have a car with 425 hp but it weighs 4k+ then you have a car weighing 34xx with 350 hp? How is that not a good race?
Now I'm not gonna say srt 8 cant beat ls1s because night ws6 has a nice charger but saying a bolt on ls1 is getting raped by one is dumb because they are close...

Why quote what only a m6 car traps?? What about the A4?? A bone stock 6.1 will trap 107-109 all day long at sea level (0 DA)
As for the 392's i think record as of now is 12.2. By next winter there will be a lot more 392's at the track with the release of the charger and 300 expect times to drop.

I assumed we were comparing m6 cars here? SO your saying an srt 8 with a 5 speed auto will trap the same as an m6? Ya okkk autos generally produce lower times but trap slower the srt 8 is no exception. And once again an auto ls1 at sea level should be right around what an auto srt 8 traps... Its a drivers race bolt on for bolt on with its not rocket science it figure out 425hp/ 4200lbs ~ 350hp/3400 lbs... And I never said the new ones wont run faster? I fully acknowledge a new one is capable of mid 12's with a trap of over 112

the conversation we were having didnt really have anything to do with the original op's post but more to the point that a stock srt 8 and ls1 car are a drivers race in which case one could assume you would be talking about 6 speeds since most cars tested and compared arent autos... not to mention an auto can put a car at a disadvantage one way or the other with a stock stall depending on how many gears and ratios it has.. the 6 speed levels the field a bit
