Actual races between two cars are the only real way to measure performance. A car that has a best time of 13.0@106 can easily beat a car that ran a 12.7@110. How so? Because internet times mean nothing. Times can vary by the better part of a full second depending on track elevation, track prep and DA. Someone's 12.5 might be a 12.0 if ran at the same track and same time as someone else's best run.

Going on about what an average car does or what certain cars "should" do with this mod or this mod is pointless.

No. The Mach 1 is considerably quicker.

It's very easy to find cars that ran at the same track in similar conditions. Once you see several of those, it is also easy to guesstimate how two cars potentially compare. Street races only determine how you did against that particular person.

Yes this is correct to a point but they do have da correction calculators and track tells all. Rolls have ways to fudge outcomes.

lol my fire suit has been on for days man lol.
i just think its funny how much of this "my car is faster then your car" and all this.. lol. i ran a 4 cylinder down a track(its my old car) and i posted a slip.. how hard is it for anyone to do?... i know" they dont throw those slips away. i have a shoe box filled packed tight with all of my cars i ever raced... even my 99 VW passat lol.
if you think your car is faster. then run a time. calculate DA, and post Track Temp. then have him do the same. compare timeslips side by side, and adjust for track conditions etc. trap speeds dont usually lie

I see what your saying but there is alot more to it then that...We run at a 1/8th mile here so you have to guesstimate convert to 1/4 mile times after calculating and correcting for DA etc etc and no one does that because its useless and inaccurate. The way we settle it here is we run them at the same track like I said no one cares what a car will run at another track in a different state. Unless he beats me at my track or I come run and beat him at his the question still stands. Everyone runs slower here bottom line.....
