how far away do u guys live from each other?

i mean i live in arkansas. and i would never drive to CA to race someone for bragging rights lol. so ill look at 1/8th miles and be like. Boom. im faster then you in the 1.8th or your faster then me, and your trapping higher.

i mean, what does your car run?.... just post a slip. because when you do. then i can be like okay. i see whatsup. and if he still doesnt post a slip to back up his 12.5 claim then he looks like an idiot. my talon would prolly dust him from a roll (if hes trapping 110) lol. but ill never make that actual claim, because i have no traps to back it up yet lol. post a slip, and then you can be like, where u at?...

I have slips from my old Integra, Frontier, and my '98 Mustang. Doesn't hurt to post any of them.

And for the record, multiplying by ~1.55 (IIRC) to convert 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile is pretty accurate unless your car is geared crazy steep.

well let me check that lol.

1.55X8.68=13.45... my fastest was 13.7 at 101 bogging the launch(no torque and on slicks lol) and that was my fastest 1/8th mile. so mabye if that was at a 1/4 it would have been a 13.5.

so id say its CLOSEE..

I think the official NHRA conversion factor is 1.56, actually. Which would put you at approximately a 13.54. An old slip of mine, my Integra ran a 9.70 in the 1/8 mile, which is a calculated 15.13. Actual time was 14.97. So it's not exact, but it's close enough.

I've always found that to be a good way to get a rough estimate. There are exceptions, but then again, there always are, lol.

I believe that is what we call the paper bag effect. Where a random bag blowing around trips the sensor before he gets there. Also I keep hearing that "I ran a 12.5 in a stock Mach 1"is that stock on stock tires or stock on a drag radial/slick? Has that time ever been backed up with another 12.5 or tons of 12.6's. From the few mach 1's/ and 98-01 cobras from stock to modded that I have raced they seem to be quite sub par performers. I would pull them from a roll and put a few lengths on them when my evo was stock turbo with just boltons and then when I added cams it got even uglier. best trap in my evo at the time was 113ish back in like 04/05.

Stopsign posted up a HUGE thread here, where his car ran a 12.5x as it sits right now. So it was definitely a joke.

Just to give you guys an idea what bolt on mach's run at our local tracks. Look at how big of a difference track elevation makes.

At our 1/4th Mile
Bolt on / Geared Mach
14.0@103

At our 1/8th Mile
Bolt on / Geared / Tuned / Dr's

i would personally like to see a pic of your timeslip, the elevation of the track it was ran at, and the DA that day.

and then one from the other guy. i understand that track is slower. let us be the judge and see it for ourselves.

He never will, if youve noticed about his "videos of me racing at a track" has no times or traps speeds or nothing. I wonder why no ones called him out for a Ju1ce mod lol

Neither of those huge were leaving as hard as stoppy .......no where near as hard. The first vid no doubt could use the driver mod.

No. The Mach 1 is considerably quicker.

It's very easy to find cars that ran at the same track in similar conditions. Once you see several of those, it is also easy to guesstimate how two cars potentially compare. Street races only determine how you did against that particular person.
It would be cool if every track printed out your DA corrected time kind of like the chassis dyno does with your power numbers.

My DA corrected time (using the dragtimes calc) comes out to 11.95@112.7 for my 113k stock suspension stock headed cammed and NOT full bolts ons A4 LT1.

A lot of guys (not all, but a fair share) on this board and CZ28 have had their best runs in near 0 or negative DA.
