It's not hard for a 3100# car with 440whp to hit 125 traps. Over the last 6 years or so I have seen a good number go 124-126. I don't understand why some people think its such a big feat for a C6 Z to run those numbers. Even the mainstream mags were doing that when they were new and we all know they don't always run the best times/ traps.

Thanks red.

For any track were a z06 can hit 126 mph there are ten more were they struggle to hit 122 mph.

I'd say 123.5 is average. Pretty badass. Ohio should rape one quite easily

REDCTSV..it always amaze's me how some people can run great time's like you have, and other's in some magazine rag ran a 12.02 on a C6Z...not atco, but raceway park, englishtown...is it the norm for some ZO6's to run better then others or do some just need the driver mod ???..love you're Z06, my favorite color for a 'vette...

REDFIRE 03...i completely agree with you, as i said 11.3 is a damn good time for a stock Z06. for a better time you would need DR's...i still believe member's on this board are better driver's then the magazine staff...i think with them you just get a general idea what to expect when buying one...look at the new MOTOR TREND march 2012 issue...they tested a ZL1 and ran a 12.1@117...then CAR & DRIVER did the same and got a 12.3@119...good numbers, but then it fell apart with AUTOMOBILE went 12.6@116 and the real clunker was ROAD & TRACK going 12.9@113 !!!!!....**** soon the ZL1 will slower then the regular SS...

I read some and guy with mustang said that Z was stock. But he has ran some h/c Z's and been neck and neck till 5th gear and then they walk away from him.

should be around 135-140ish. I come out of 4th at 150...out of 3rd at 123 inb my auto with 3.15 gears.

My manual with 4.10s had to shift into 5th at 131 ish with a redline of 7800. I am betting he don't have 4.10 from his mod list so maybe 3.73's at most. So maybe 140ish at most.

I know the mustang makes 650whp he said. With a PD blower so he has no lag like my centri blower. Instant HP/TQ.

Must of looked at the wrong gear, right around the same power your making yet an Intake/Tune should be a good run for you but he runs with H/C until 150. Just doesn't make sense, but idk maybe I'm under estimating the new 5.0s

By 80 I have about 4-5 cars on them. By 125 I have bus lengths for sure.

You pulled 4-5 cars in 20 mph, which takes about 1.5-2 seconds? Hmmmm. Good kills lol

As said depends on hsi gears etc. He does have a little more work then me reading what he has done to his car. He also said he traps around 134-136. I trap 128. I should trap a little more next tim eout since made some adjustments.

that is what happens with a 20mph+ different trap speed and 250whp/220wtq more can do for you. Also not sure if he was manual or auto.

One of my friends never did better than 12.2 at 119 mph in his stock z06. over 450 rwhp too. He's a novice driver and the track is your average track. But there was another stock z06 owner there who had over 100 passes in his stock z06 and he went 11.7 at 122 mph on his best pass.

It's all relevant. At the drag strips here in Hawaii I saw stock c5z06s average 112 mph and gts vipers average 115 mph. Srt10 vipers average 117.so my friend getting a 119 mph trap is actually very very good in a stock z06 here.

If you look in the thread they show some examples of guys with same set up as him trapping high 130's. Only difference is they are auto's he is a manual.

Ohio 128 mph from a rusting is nothin to be ashamed of. Hopefully you'll dip a 130 mph trap after your tweaking.

Looking forward to seein what she can do.

We will see. Going to track on 26th. Only thing is the track going to isn't nearly as good as SAR. But its our local track and is only 25min away instead of 2.5 hours.

So basically what you're saying is, your home track should not be used as a reference for "real world" results.
