Default Too close to call

I was just coming back from lunch a few minutes ago and a C5 FRC pulls out in front of me on a side street. As luck would have it he turned the same direction that I did. He spun a little turning to the left and then got straight and punched it. I punched it before I got totally straight and when my car shifted into second I swung the *** end out about 3 feet. I kept it floored though . Once I caught traction we stayed pretty even. I was hoping that I could gain on him but like I said it was really close. I might have gained a foot or two on him. I was hoping to gain more given my mods but....oh well. I don't know if he had any mods but I don't want to make excuses. I doubt this matters too much but I had my wife in the car when I raced. All in all it was a fun race. Even my wife was laughing out loud during the race.

If it had an LS1 in it and the person was hammering the gas you can bet it wasn't stock(I will say it for you) I had a cai and a short throw hurst sitting in the garage 3 weeks before I got my car!

Yeah, there's no way you lost to a stock ls1 if you've gotta stall, exhaust, and cam. He might have had a cam, or maybe a bottle. Good job on holding on around the corner, though. Bet you scared the crap out of the Mrs. with that stunt.

Yeah I think she might have puckered up just a little.

Also, the wife mod slows you down...
Usually it does but she seemed game this time. I was shocked.

I don't think so ... but that would be an excellent mod.

I can see it now ...

"Gotta race, sorry hun" .... :: you flip a switch on the dash ... the t-top folds back and the screaming wife flys out through hole .... t-top closes back up, electronic cutout opens and the car purges ::

Niccccccceeeeeeeeeeeee.
