I do... Then again its just my opinion, doesnt matter if its an fbody, 5.0, 392 whatever. The car power wise is 100% stock the only thing your doing is making it hookup, theres nothing to increase its power potential... Technically using that logic once anyone changes the stock f1's to BFG's its not "stock" but to each his own

Once anything is changed on the car it's not stock! Factory stock at least...

If this is the case stock for stock a LS1 would lose to a Mach 1 at the track.

What about the plastic on the seats and all the tags that you remove from the car stock? Also if the user manual a must have at the track or would that class it as "not stock"?

Uhhhhh I suppose anything is possible, but if the ls1 doesnt snap the 10 bolt launching the mach 1 is still going down. It's been posted a stock ls1 with dr's ran 12.69, I dont think a stock mach has done that even with dr's so the point is moot. But that's not what this thread is about, and its a pretty stupid aguement to make anyway good death op btw, because that's what will happen if you run the cobra. Theres no way around it unless he cant drive lol.

"Most" stock LS1s aren't going to trap 110mph either. If you want to believe and hold onto that video of a "stock" LS1 doing that then I'd be more than happy to show you a "stock" Mach 1 doing better.

It seems so many LS1 owners hold onto that video of the "stock" red LS1 Camaro for dear life.

What's wrong with that? 12.69 w/ nuttin' but a tire is awesome. He's a board member here too and would be happy to enlighten you on the technique.

03-04 are pretty damn fast even in stock form but on the street - anything is possible.

That's good for a "stock" car. And I don't need him to enlighten me. I'd do much better than 12.69 with a 110mph trap speed.

No they wont, but most of them will be trapping higher than a stock mach 1 no arguing that. And where is a stock mach 1 full weight with ONLY dr's trapping higher than 110?

And whats wrong with holding onto that video? It's kinda like you hold onto your 12.5 in a mach 1 with light mods and ohio holds onto his 12.2 time with his stock car... Are those times normal? Hell no but they did happen..

Once again this is pointless to get into, its not what the thread was about, in the first place, and I know I get annoyed when I see a thread go 30 pages on something it asnt even about in the fist place, so I'm stopping... sorry for the rant op maybe you'll get lucky and the guy in the cobra cant drive.

Anytime a record time is set its ALWAYS in stellar conditions. Duh.

Don't be mad because he ran faster with just a tire than you run with a cam & bolt-ons.

Oh trust me I'm definitely mad that I'm a **** driver.

I would hardly compare Atco times with tire to Cordova times on 245/50r16 good year eagle rsa's. I doubt I'll be upset once the car gets a tune though regardless of my **** driving and all seasons.

If that case fastest stock 5.0 is 12.1@114 not the 12.2 you mentioned above. I didn't run the 12.2 on stock tires. It was ran at Cecil. We did run 12.1 and a 12.2 in my old manual on tires.

what is fastest a 03-04 Termi has went with just tires? SOme one should know.

I'm only aware of a 12.3 from Evan smith on DRs. Can't find the details though, been searching.
