I am full weight and actually heavier with bloer on it and with the bigger rims tires then it had stock. But that ok. I have enough power to make up for it. I also said screw swapping rims/tires for track only. How I drive it every day is how i take it to track and run it. why be like ya i ran a XXX but i swapped these rims and tires on it. So what you can be slower on the street.

I did that for a while. But handling is compromised if running shinnies up front along with braking.

yep. when i had my 89, i drove it on the bfg drag radials, 'cause i didn't want to go to the track, and do any work to have my fun. she handled better than i had expected on those, but yes......it did hurt the handling.

I never ever trust what those websites say. You take it to a weigh station and get the actual prinout and there is no question. Those weigh stations are calibrated daily or weekly in most cases, because truckers can't afford to be over their weight, they are usually accurate within 20 lbs, give or take.

The GM spec site I found said my Camaro weighs 3,500 lbs bone dry with no options. My car is fully loaded with all the fluids and a 1/4 tank, weighed 3,440. Only $6 to weigh it.

Your Mustang weighs 3,470 lbs? Did you reduce weight on it? That's a lot lighter for a new 'Stang than I would have guessed!

He has a boss. And it really isn't heavy. As said my manual GT base was only 3540.

I run 12.8 on my wideband. I don't need to manually shift, I have manual mode setup to shift at 6200. Nothing wrong with the car...lol. it picked up .5 with Lts and Cai. Roman ur car makes prolly only 15 HP less than mine, not near as much difference as you'd think. You have no cats, no resonatot, no mufflers. I have the resonator and stock mufflers still. About 75 percent of header gains is from ditching the factory cats. And the Cai isn't worth much, I dynoed a car today that picked up 6rwhp from a Cai. The factory induction on these gen5s is pretty good.

As for the correction, all I am saying is if I ran at ur track the same night as u with negative da, it would have went 12.1 to 12.2. The record for an l99 with Cai,Lts and tune is 12.2 in good air. I'm right there with that.

My car lost a tenth stock at the track with a vararam with better weather and a few hundred miles of learning. Also, the damn neck creased, after the 2nd warranty I sold it.
Rotofab FTW.

We can do this all day, maybe he had great gains from slapping it on and leaning the stock tune out and gained a few tenths. Who knows? I was just relaying my experiance, I'm not John Force but have raced since the early 80's and had the car running 13.0 consistant in 100 heat and after the vararam the next week it ran 13 teens in 90 heat. Take it for what is worth.

i'm trying to remember from when i was looking at my buddy's 6 banger 2010.....don't the camaros already pick up their air right behind the center of the grill? if so, it seems to me that that'd be pretty hard to improve on.
