The green SRT didn't but the orange one the week before did. So when we talked to him at the meet the next week he said he never shook on it so it wasn't a bet blah blah. We knew the guy wasn't going to pay anyway going into it so it just added to the hilarity when he blew the red light to get away lol.

Im not surprised at all how badly u guys beat them. I worked at a dodge dealer and drove a couple of 392 srts and wasn't impressed, my bolt on 01 ss felt like it was just as fast as them

I agree, I was following in my bolt on 98. The green car had a cam in it though so it was definately faster than a stock SRT. The h/c hawk is getting tuned today so ill let you know how much power it was making when he raced the SRTs and after the tune.

i live in a Chrysler community. 2 plants here in town, and its full of dodge challengers, chargers, and SRT 4's. none of which are fast except for maybe 1 lol. I put the hurting on a charger R/T the other day, he kept riding my *** (which instantly pisses me off), so he decided to try to ricer flyby me and shoots in the left lane and hammers it.i let him get to my quarter panel, and i punched it in 2nd around 40mph, bouncing off the rev limiter and made it seem like he slammed on his brakes, needless to say, he slowed way down, and turned into a parking lot, got out of his car, and went into a store...i was turning around to go get him, but he already went inside...

dodge owners around here are just like the guys in this vid.....

good kill, and funny as **** lol

Crazy how I keep hearing these 392's are so slow yet, I keep seeing them run low 12.30s-40s here at above sea level. If it takes a H/C to puff one then they're obviously not too shabby.

i never said they were slow...lol, but for $45000 or more, big cubed 392, id expect it to be a lot better.... the motor makes the power....its just the tank they put it in..... i guess its just the arrogance that gets me....just cuz you paid a stupid amount of money for it, doesnt automatically make it a race car....and dont put it off like it is with their BS talking.

a guy just went 12.09@115 with CAI, Catback on stock tires
still not enough for a H/C LS1 tho

...although google is telling me 440rwhp is normal for them stock.

So who knows what was done to it. The owner wasn't exactly a Rhode's scholar.

They dont make an aftermarket cam for the 392 yet because of the VCT and limited tuning. There are about 3 cars that are tuned right now they still havent found a solid tuning method for them. 440rwhp is about what they put down stock so he's BS'ing on the cammed part. He has bolt ons if that....hes still stupid for thinking he would beat a H/C car making the same power as him but lighter

oh just wait. I'm getting ready to go out to a big event tonight where 15+ cars will be. I'm probably gonna be slower then at least 10 of them... videos will be posted and I will be eating much crow because I can't shut my big mouth. lol

I made the mistake of talking smack to a 5th gen owner before finding out his mods: 500lb weight loss, 429 LS3 with ported LS7 heads, 13.5 comp on meth, full race built car going for the record of worlds fastest N/A 5th gen (Diet Coke's car). I thought he was still heads/cam 6spd! So yeah, I buried my foot in it pretty deep.

If its cammed than it is not a 392...It is the older srt8 with the 6.1.
The 392's still do not have tuning which doesnt allow a cam install.

I love the comments saying 392's are slow...when racing a modded car with heads and cam....come the f*** on. 392's are fast cars and have already dipped into the 11's with no tuning yet.

Personally, I've driven a 392 and it felt great and I really enjoyed the feel of the car but because of the weight it is hard/harder to make them fast.

Btw, the Fawk just got off the dyno, it made 422rwhp.

It's not hard to make a heavy car go fast when you've got almost 400 cubic inches tp work with. Guys have been going fast in land yachts for some time now.

Its funny some plp are saying those cars are slow; 115mph stock is impressive and faster than a lot of cars. There's not really a lot of cars that fast for the price. It's faster than any 5th gen or mighty coyote stock. Dodge did a great job IMO.

you might want to go look at the Cam only drag times and then look at some H/C drag times. OP could have beat him even worse if he had some grip.
