Default New Dyno #'s and a kill :)

Today I went to watch my car get dyno'd and pick it up. The car and old numbers are in sig. I added the Trunion upgrade, PRC 2.5 5.3 heads 61CC, Walbro 255 fuel pump, and LS7 lifters. The car kept the same 100 shot from before. It doesn't say in sig but this is a TSP 224R 112LSA.

The new numbers are on motor 445/432. Nitrous run is 523/516.

On to the kill I was heading home and a 2011 V6 mustang drives by and revs. Shortly after we get stopped at a redlight. We both know that this is going down. The light goes green and from 0-80ish I had a B U S on this guy. I pull in the median to turn around and he pulls be side me and yells "whats in that thing" I reply "V8." He says "I thought you were a V6" I replied "not even close I just got this car off the dyno today." I told him the power numbers and he says "well you got me, I'm outmatched for sure". He compliments me on my car I compliment his we wave and go on our way.

All in all he was a cool guy suprisingly to been so young. I guess no he knows not to mess with anything with an SS badge

"Longtubes w/ tru-duals, 3.90 gear ratio, Lid, TSP cam"

That right there should have been a flashing neon light to him that you were a V8! was his radio jacked all the way up or something?

Nice numbers btw!

I'm pretty sure even with his radio jacked up all the way he would have been able to feel it was a V8 through his floor boards.

Badass car and numbers OP

Thank you guys for the kind words. His radio wasn't louder than mine was but it was I'm guessing a guy from the local high school so he just might not of known the "tell-tale" signs of my mistress saying "I'm baddass don't mess with me" LOL. Yeah it was a puppy kicking for sure but he was a cool guy and props were given both ways.

I didn't add this to my first post but he told me he thought the only difference between my body style camaro was the suspension badges and cosmetics. He thought all of them had v6's HE COULDN"T HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG

I'm sure he probably just laughed it off. Lesson learned.

I LOVE the 3.90 gears. I felt like the 3.73 weren't enough and the 4.10 would be too much. The 3.90 were the perfect compromise. At 70 mph its only pulling 1800-1900 rpm.

Are you running a FAST setup? Your numbers are stupid high(especially torque) for 5.3 heads, 3:90 and a baby cam!

I'm surprised you torque number on the spray arent higher too.

nice dyno numbers and kill, but...you wouldn't see me bragging about taking down a v6 stang in a car making 440+ whp. **** i wouldn't be posting it up if it happened in my stock ta. that tq reading looks to be screwed up, motor and n2o. i've never seen n2o produce a result smaller than the hit on the tq side. ever.

3.90's work good in these cars.

Yeah, I remember most of the ''top of the line'' dyno results here are never really over 440rwrq, and that is with top parts put together by LS gurus..like the 500rwhp/440rwtq build by PatG for his T/A, with a lot bigger cam, higher comp ratio, massaged AFR heads/FAST/speed density/sweet exhaust$$$ with cutout and all that jazz..

*edit*
I just saw your old numbers were 407-402rwtq. That TQ on stock heads is off for sure.

I do agree that the numbers are probably skewed a little bit. I have no idea what correction factors were but the cam only numbers and H/C numbers were on the same dyno. I know that dyno numbers are just that and the track tells the true story.

As far as bragging about beating the V6 stang he picked with me. He drove beside me and goosed it then I caught him at a red light. Then the above story happened. I only gave him what he was asking for.

Is it possible the dyno was calibrated for a stock 6spd 3.42 and not the 3.90's so it wasn't a 1:1 ratio? I don't really know just simply asking.

Also could the fact I went from stock compression ratio from my calculations to 11.1:1 have anything to do with the tq numbers I have now.

4th gear is still 1:1 so the gears don't change that. And even with the compression bump an ls1 with your mods won't make those kind of torque numbers. Doesn't really matter though. As long as it runs properly the numbers don't mean much.

The car definitely runs properly. Either way with it being the same dyno it looks like I still gained 38hp and 30tq from a head swap. As far as the numbers being on spray I have no idea on that it runs strong for sure. I need some track time and races to see exactly how I stack up.
