my last thread here....
Guys I apologize for abandoning my last thread (01 ss against 392) but work caught me out and i was not around the pc for quite some time. So... since the thread got locked I wanted to just give a little comment back to the guys that were flaming me.
Now guys I realize that I do not by any means have a 12 sec car (hell I'm not sure what it will run in the 1/4 because I have yet to put in on anything more than an 1/8th. BUT I'm not a newbie to the drag racing scene - I raced my dad's 1970 Dodge Superbee and 1968 Dodge Charger a fair amount (given it was by no means professional) but I do understand how the drag racing thing works. As you can see I'm a Mopar man at heart (even though I love GM cars as well) and I would have loved to see that $50k car absolutely smoke mine. But the truth is it didn't. Now I understand the difference between the two cars is quite a bit, and I must admit my buddy has yet to learn how to drive the car worth a **** - he's a granny shifting ****.
I don't expect people to believe everything that is said on here. But when you compare the numbers between a Srt8 392 and my basically stock ss, even with the worst driver ever I should not have been able to outrun him to 125 mph. I did.
I was just trying to show that the SRT's at least in my experience are not the powerhouse they should be. (however disappointing that is to admit for a Mopar guy)
Now I'm sure if I could drive my buddys car on the track, I guarantee I could knock over a half second off of my buddy's time (I shift my car like a raped comanche).
BUT.... I did for whatever reason (granny driver -yes) pull on a 2012 SRT8 392 challenger.

What are you even talking about? The title was referring to the last thread he posted in SR&K. It took longer to post your uninformed reply than it would have taken to READ the post in the first place.
Is reading 7 or 8 sentences really that difficult???
Who the **** posts on a thread that he hasn't even read yet???

I realize some folks are going to give me a hard time because they didn't see it for themselves. But it amazes me that someone would result to not only flaming but telling me to gtfo and cuss me when they never read my original post. To them - they can go to hell in a gas truck

Are you one of his nut swingers that believes your stock little lt1 can beat any car also?

do a re-run and post a video of it. that way you can show these guys and me whats up. Otherwise when you post a story like this in the format you did, nobody is going to bother listening like this guy ^^ .. dont blame him either..
Guys I apologize for abandoning my last thread (03 Viper against 10 Bugatti) but work caught me out and i was not around the pc for quite some time. So... since the thread got locked I wanted to just give a little comment back to the guys that were flaming me.Now guys I realize that I do not by any means have a 9 sec car (hell I'm not sure what it will run in the 1/4 because I have yet to put in on anything more than an 1/8th. BUT I'm not a newbie to the drag racing scene - I raced my dad's 2008 Sl65 amg and 2004 Gallardo a fair amount (given it was by no means professional) but I do understand how the drag racing thing works. As you can see I'm a Mopar boy at heart (even though I love GM as well) and I would have loved to see that 1.6 million dollar car absolutely smoke mine. But the truth is it didn't. Now I understand the difference between the two cars is quite a bit, and I must admit my aquaintance is missing four fingers on each hand and has a hard time with the paddle shifters and has yet to learn how to drive the car worth a darn- he's a wounded war vet. I don't expect people to believe everything that is said on here. But when you compare the numbers between a Bugatti and my basically stock Viper, even with the worst driver ever I should not have been able to outrun him to 165 mph. I did. I was just trying to show that the Bugattis at least in my experience are not the powerhouse they should be. (however disappointing that is to admit for a lover of fine exotics) Now I'm sure if I could drive my aquaintances car on the track, I guarantee I could knock over a second off of his time (I shift my car like a raped asian).BUT.... No guys I don't think my little ls1 (it's not an lt1 by the way - before you start bashing pay attention) can beat anything. As a matter of fact it's quite slow and I know it. However I can't afford to spend my entire paycheck to make it super fast. And me and my buddy are planning on trying to go to the local 1/8 strip for some fun so hopefully we can see a little better under controlled circumstances what's what. So hopefully I will be able to get a vid of us running. I hope y'all are right and it was a fluke and I'm retarded for thinking the the challenger is more than what it seems to be to me at the moment. All I'm saying is this one doesn't seem to be as quick as I had thought.
I thought perhaps I could share a little info on my experience with one to compare with everyone else's with some form of civility... Guess I was wrong
I apologiz

Its a tough one to chew on. You'll have to put a video up of this SRT8 392 in all his driver error glory.
