Headers are good for about 30 rwhp over the factory manifolds AND cats. The cats are the biggest restriction. I have dynoed cars before and after a cai, and with all test variables the same, temps and conditions, there is little gain with a cai. Now what wont show on a dyno is the intakes ability to keep the air cool. But the factory box insulates very well too. I don't know why people say the stock intake is a bottleneck, it is 4" in diameter, the biggest downfall of it is the inlet into the box and the box volume imo....

nice death..? i can't see a cammed ls2 being that slow, but we all know anything can happen on the street. your car def runs strong for the mods, no doubt. but we all know a properly cammed/tuned ls2 m6 gto, even with a poor driver, would flat walk off from a car trapping <112.

A bolton/cam 6spd LS2 GTO is a high 11/low 12 @ 113-116mph car all day long. And that's NOT counting the fast guys that go 10's and manage 120mph traps, just the normal variety setups. Your car should have gotten walked. Hell, I beat a tune/catback/CAI L99 SS repeatedly from a roll and dig when I was just basic boltons (LT's, vavaram, catback, tune). What does a tune only L99 make? 330-340rwhp? Versus 400-440rwhp for a 300lb+ lighter GTO? Just aint making sense.
Regardless, you ran him basically door to door and no matter what mods you have that's doing good.

GTO should pull IMO, but then again I haven't seen too many l99's running around here (that actually race). The GTOs I have ran, or who I need to run when I am back up and running are all 115+ cars, so maybe he needs more driver mod then power mods for sure.
What DA did you do that 12.5 at 110 at? Thats a really good time and mph for such little mods.

Dude your a complete idiot, im not going to waste my time with you. Stock for Stock its a drivers race and anyone on this forum will second that. Get your **** straight before you come posting like you know everything. Like i said, if a GTO is slow, SO if your even heavier block of metal.

They are by no means slow stock. And with a cam it should eat you alive. Literally pull you a bus or more.
Stop being a 5th gen fanboy. IMO our cars are one of the worst performance platforms because of the weight. Just look at how hard it is to get into the ******* 9s with these boxes.

I'm amazed he doesn't realize that the GTO and the camaro are nearly identical setups.
Also an L99 stock will get eaten up by an LS2 GTO. An LS3 is a drivers race edge being to the GTO for lighter weight and better gearing.
Also a bolt on GTO will run like mid 12s I think or even low 12s. A Bolt on one once pushed my **** in so deep. Best run I ever had with my stock L99 was like 13.1@104. That GTO was trapping like 112 with just bolt ons. With cam I bet they trap near 120. A tuned L99 will trap what 107-108?
Never thought I'd have to go **** on a 5th gen owner here but bro, if that GTO didn't beat you, it's not because your car is fast. An L99 is slow. At 630rwhp I'm still suffering from being slow, even with full torque at 2k rpm. 4,000lbs is still 4,000lbs at the end of the day.
