As far as me getting a tb for my car. Its a waste if your comparing it as dollar per hp. But in the big picture of things... if your an NA guy, and have built any significant builds using nothing but 100kpa... a tb that matches the size of your intake tubing and intake manifold inlet is a necessary piece of the puzzle. When building an NA setup, every piece counts.. in the boosted realm, who gives a **** about the little things. But in reality, every part matters for a car to make power without boost. 5whp is only 5 whp... but if you skip out on 5 pieces that only give u 5whp... then u have just lost 25whp... 25whp to an NA car... is huge. All im saying

Well I guess Evan waste his money on the tb too then, and no I didn't say 200 is going to gain me 4mph, I said that mods worth 2600 dollars plus shave off 200 mph should net me over 112 .... I am just speaking what it is ... I though 5.0s were trapping 115plus all day but nope, I guess that's with weight reduction and 15s all around

these are the two fastest bolt on 5.0's. Neither have a TB. wonder why. search and see all the big shops even tested it and said it was worthless in a few threads on S197/Modularfords/SVT

Maybe once get to point of JPC's car there may be some gains with the TB. As they run it. BUt bolt ons alone have shown none.

With all due respect to you and the shops, i humbly disagree. Im also speaking from having ported heads and bigger cams out of the box. The only shop i really give any attention to for NA 5.0s is JPC. They actually build FAST cars and not just typical bolt on consumer cars.

And I love how you keep adding mods now it has weight reductoion and 15's all around. Funny 15's don't fit in the front of teh 5.0 with out swapping brakes. Which most don't do. Cause they don't want to spend 600 on after market brakes or swap to smaller 05-10 brakes. And yes with mods you listed he should trap least 115. But to many things come into play. trap prep, DA, driver, tune, etc.

You'd need skinnies and gears to even get close to 115.

He didn't owns nobody ... The guy sucks at racing that he can't get out of the 13s he thinks just because he berly breaks 13s everybody should run 14s with less mods ..... He is a ******* hater, that's all it is, I ain't tripping because ppl always gives him **** about his POS 5gen and now he is trying to do the same me

only one way to find out... Actually do it. Either strap some headers and wheels/tires to it and trap 115 and prove them wrong. Or do that and not trap 115 and prove them right. Either way. Just do it.. internet what ifs will never be a convincing arguement.

112 is on a good day.
Stock L99 gearing is very limited and pretty much complete **** for 1/4 mile. That with your weight is just a hindrance. I bet with stock gearing I couldn't even break 125 with my current setup yet I bet I'm knocking on 130 with my current setup. Maybe I can even GET 130-131 with slicks.

Dude the thing I have faith on what I have and on what I have ran with this car 12.5 @ 110 on a alright day ... If I was to run in a -1000 da I could do a lil better and the lowest I trap on a shitty day is 108 ,,,,, so I am in between 108-110 right now and I am more then positive I can get it to go 113-115 with just bolt ons ... With out no weight reduction ..... Now weight reduction I bever done that and never will ... I like my car as I drive it daily and that's it
