I find this to be true, esp to be coming back around from a loss of a car or more.

Thanks man! Now that I've moved up in the car rankings I've got to run these monsters instead of the bolton GT's, Sti's, Fbodies, etc. Now I'm once again the slow guy lol.

You mean once I got into third gear: it's my achilles heel. I think I got something wrong with my car related to either 3rd gear or the mph: I destroyed a new CTS-V in multiple low roll to 80-90mph runs, then ran into another one (possibly same guy) during a 65mph run where it only dropped to 3rd and it took me until the 4th gear shift to get to his door after spotting him a car. Then with this vid and the vid versus Diet Coke where it's only after I hit 3rd gear that they suddenly leap ahead like I put the brakes on...

Need to get her on a dyno and find out what the heck is going on.

lol If I got a 4L80e I would be slower by around 15-20rwhp. It's a bigger, more power sapping transmission based off the old Turbo 400 where the 4L60/65 trans are Turbo 350 based.

700r4 based not TH350 based. Your not using a truck converter so its not much of a loss.

700R4 IS a turbo 350 with a overdrive gear. They are all evolutions of the turbo 350/400 trans that GM was always famous for.

get a 200r4 then... 4L60's are ticking time bombs for the power they are suppose to handle. Well they are decent but still.

TH350 is a 3 speed any how.

4L80 = Th400 w/ OD??? oh noes!!! And just to let you know, that red T/A has a 4L80e, Keith runs a 4L80e, Diet Coke runs a 4L80e... just sayin' lol. No one is breaking them.

I know the 4L80 is the stronger trans, that's not even a question as it's based off the turbo 400 trans which is 50% stronger then the turbo 350. I'll be at the limit of my 4L65E when I hit it with a 200 shot --- even if I wait until drive to hit that shot and bring it in soft. Is what it is, but if you don't need a 4L80E (90% don't) then its a waste of horsepower to install one as they suck up 5%+ rwhp and weigh are physically bigger and heavier with a requirement for a new crossmember + driveshaft+ custom tune.
