Default Mustang 4.6... its what's for dinner

Nice new shiny red mustang (looked new anyway, could have just been VERY well kept) weaving in and out of traffic on the highway. So I decide to show this foo' what's up. I see the 4.6L/GT badge on the side and go to the left lane to catch him. He sees me and hits it, and I pull away like its a civic Si. We slow down for traffic, and when it gets clear we go again, right past a huge chevy crew cab truck with a trailer and a big reflective bowtie on the back. The stang was a good 5-6 car lengths back when we pass the truck WOT.

I'm sure I made the bowtie guy proud

And the best part was the mustang guy (complete with goofy blue bandanna on his head) had a girl in the passenger seat. Hopefully he was showing off for his girlfriend.

I actually enjoy it more when a person is a bitch afterwards. I'd much rather get a thumbs up but knowing he wants to cry after losing so bad is its own satisfaction

Is it wrong that I love ruining someone's day this much? He looked SO pissed after the first run

Thumbs up are great....but I agree with you on the whole 'making of the bitch' comment. I raced this dude in a bright yellow convertable GT...had the 4.6 H.O. decal on the hood scoop and everything. He rolled his windows up to race me. By the middle of third gear you could have landed an airplane between us. I stopped short at the next light....and he wouldn't unroll his windows, just gave me a sheepish grin, I loved it!! I mean, a few days later when I got my *** killed by a supercharged 5.0 at least I talked with the guys at the next light. Nice kill though....the girlfriend in the car is the cherry on top!!!

Keep us posted on the AFR heads for the LS1/6. I am seriously thinking about getting a set with in a year. I want to let them work the bugs out of them first.

Nice kill.... I have killed several of those of 99+ GT's on the highway. Just imagine the look on their face when the get beaten by a truck. It's priceless.

.
I always crack a slight grin when I see a GT up in front of me. I love rolling past them kinda like they're not even worth me slowing down for. My favorite is the cocky stang guy with the hot gf who thinks her boys car is fast .... gives me such a good feeling opening her eyes to reality.

Nice kill.

And that attitude has probably saved you a time or two ...
Better safe than sorry.

welcome to the board 00GT, but you need to tach on another 100 rwhp to really be better at most cam ls1/6 cars. but, your car is just really a stang with a supercharger on it, so im sure you have more time to really open her up!!!

Thanks for the welcome

But ... mine's an auto and there are plenty of H/C LS1 autos that don't make more power than my lowly S/C GT. ... let alone 100 more. It would be nice to have some extra though .

well most cam only cars here in houston make the 390 area at least. tons of cars are in the 400 range, and h/c cars are in the 420 and higher. so, i guess it is the power range in your area that leads you to that. i guess you will need more when you come down here to houston.

Doubtful ...

If I gave any credence to that adage, I would've bought a mustang.

With over 500 RWHP, I don't think he has too too much to worry about on the road.

I wish I had some money to waste on my car.
Life throws you some curve ***** every now and then.
Lately I've been getting nothing BUT curve *****.
I think I need a third or fourth job.
At least I'm still faster than Milla.
