Man your logic doesnt make sense. A cobalt is in the same class as a civic in my eyes. Its still an economy FWD car at the end of the day.

Dig run was bad for integra lol. Would be curious to see a roll.

My logic is still the same. But atleast the Turbo Cobalt is a decent performance car from the factory. Good suspension, good brakes, factory turbo. It leaves the factory faster than the best honda being produced.

A tune bolt-on 4dr Cobalt just wiped the floor with a aftermarket boosted Honda......nough said.

Hell did honda ever even make a car as fast as the Cobalt SS?

Just took a look at the ring lap times. The Colbalt SS owns all honda's except the NSX(actually it does beat 1). The HHR SS owns all front drive honda's too........but them there honda's are great cars....

I take this list with a grain a salt though......but I think a 25 sec beat down over the nearest front drive honda means the Cobalt has it covered pretty good.

Not true, that's the fastest non-shop car STOCK TURBO Cobalt time. The same guy has since upgraded beyond the stock turbo and he's almost into the 10's.

what do track times have to do with running on the street? If you come to Maryland i know alot of fast civics that you can run...
Don't take this the wrong way but there are plenty of imports that can be made fast...

It's pretty easy to get something to go down the 1/4 fast if that's your only goal. The Cobalts 'ring track times proves it can do more. Pretty good overall cars compared to the competition. The only other imports that I know of would be the sti or evo and with awd are not in the same class.

The turbo cars can hit 12's with just a tune and a tire can't they? Sounds pretty great to me. They're right at the top of the list for FWD performance these days.

I wont argue that Cobalts arent good cars. I would consider one if I was 18 lol.

But you still cant just discredit hondas. The Integra type R Held the title best handling FWD from its 1997 release and is still at the top of that list.

Integra type r was 21 sec. slower around the ring.......more over got it's *** whooped. I've got a couple friends with honda's. I tell them the same thing, fine economy car, shitty hotrods.

Hard to beat the bang-for-the-buck factor on a Cobalt SS/TC. With just adding a catless downpipe, better FMIC, and an E85 tune I went from a 14.1 @ 102 to a 13.1 @ 110. All that cost about $740 to achieve. The tune made a huge difference:

Considering the power difference, that's not as big of a gap as I expected.

Lol I always loved the hate my SS/TC sedan garnered. My tuning, e-blend, intake tube and DP had me pulling cars that the forum warriors said was impossible.

Great kill OP!

I'm dying to get a new CTS-V, ZL1, GT500, or Boss kill on tape, but there's none around me that wanna play. I'm at altitude, so I have an advantage over N/A or S/C cars.

I raced a 2011 CTS-V coupe from a 40 roll to 120 before I was on my E85 tune and he only got me by about 2 cars with me letting him get the hit. I need to run that car again so he can lose.
