5th gen vs Mellon Racing Evo *VID*

Shoot when you can buy a built shortblock w/head for 6K that seems cheap as hell to me.
They have 3 650+awhp EVO for sale right now on Evolutionm.net all under 30K.
I know them like the back of my hand, so maybe that adds to it.

LOL ha ha.......well I'm coming from a Z06 where built shortblocks are 8K+, turbokits are 12K, SC w/meth are 8K, Heads are 3K, etc etc etc.

You spend $25k on an evo and get to that power level everything breaks after your first pass.

And it took me 5 seconds to find a kit that for around 6,500 will put you at the same numbers as those evos, more reliably. Meh.

I didn't see a curve.
Evo's are fairly reliably with big power if you know what you're doing. There's a handful of local ones making 600+ that have no issues. Aren't LS7's known for popping with a quickness when you add boost to the mix?

Depends how much boost you add, if you just throw on a S/C it will live at 600whp no problem. But if you add much more than that your at the limits of the pistons, change those and you can hold alot on the stock rods/crank
