from what i've read, if the rx-8 is successful, mazda will build a new rx-7 on the same platform as the rx-8... but it will be smaller, ligher, and their target was 350(!) turbocharged rotary hp.

considering what an rx-7 with 350hp can do now, that would be one hell of a car. 3rd gen rx-7 is one of the few imports i really really like.

my mistake. 280-330hp. still, that thing should be sweet. "SHOULD" being the key word here. lately japanese companies have been dropping the ball left and right on performance automobiles.
