While his tires seem to work for the racing he does (I don't remember what kind they are, but it's a high performance tire), tire compound is much more important than width. I always laugh when someone tells me they aren't getting drag radials because they are grabbing some shitty *** ones, but they are 315's or something. Then they can't seem to figure out why they still spin.
