ive raced A LOT of suburus in my day. Ive even raced a 35r bolt on sti with a 116 mph GTO. It was ugly. That same STI lost to my buddies evo 8 with bolt ons , evo 9 turbo, and 280 cams. Seems all these little 4 cyl motors respond better to cam swaps then turbo swaps. But are savage with both done. No offense to the STI guys, because i love suburus (for what they are the best at.....rally) but it takes a lot for an sti to run with a mid 400whp rwd stick car on the highway. Even if the gto is a tank... it doesnt matter. This video is totally the norm...

my STi is a completely different animal now, it wouldnt be fair

but when i was stock turbo i highly doubt you can beat me

very old stuff,

yep. I probably will never loose to a stock turbo Sti ever. They max out somewhere around 350whp and from a 40 roll, I would drag one, just like I did this one. Remember your "slow mid 11" ET means nothing from a roll. Didn't you post somewhere you ran 11.7@115 or something like that? While thats damn good for a stock turbo, 115 trap isn't quite enough to play.

since its not even fair to set up my Subaru against your badass car, i have a friend that has a STi with almost the same set up as my old stock turbo STi form, nearly making the same power

if your close to the Norcal ( Bay Area ), perhaps we can meet up, and race 40 or 60 roll and for a lil bit of chump change $150-200, PM me your number if your close by

again peak HP numbers means nothing

350whp? hahaha comparing dyno numbers between a low reading mustang dyno vs a high reading dynojet?

nothing from a roll? ok find out how fast a nearly stockish GTR trap, and rewatch the videos i posted above

i though 1/4 mile numbers means nothing? then why compare trap speeds?

this is him trapping 123-124mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mk56K...o_title%22]LS1

when he made 30-40whp more he trapped 126mph on a the video which i cant find at the moment, the exact same set up when we ran me on this video

dont be so quick to judge how fast can a well setup and well driven stock turbo STi can be

comparing AWD trap speed vs 2WD trap speed is very tricky, more traction and lower 60ft = lower trap speed,
spin enough = higher trap speed

have you taken your car to the drag strip?

and not to talk ****, but i cant see your car trapping closed to mid 120s

Finding a "fast" stock turbo STI, is like finding a fast bolt-on Mach 1. End of story. Not saying there aren't fast ones around... ...but certainly FAR from common.

def very rare to find a well set up STi, since its also geared very short, theres lots of room for error, and that the EJ20 - EJ25 (Subaru Boxer ) engine still in a baby stage on its RnD to make power

im mainly stating that STi that the OP raced, is running like ****, and prolly driven by a retard

that seems feasible since pretty much every STI driver is a retard

I'm not within 1500 miles of you otherwise I would be down. I just looked up the record fastest vf39 Sti and it ran a 11.7@117, is that up to date? That car with a 250lb driver weighed 3000lbs WITH DRIVER. This Sti doesn't run like **** as you claim, its just not a completely gutted record holding car. Its a 3200-3300lb? car with 380-390whp which actually makes perfect sense based on the results.

I have been to the track, but not since the cam so any track numbers I have won't be relevant.

God damn, apparently a stock turbo STi can take out a ******* 441 RWHP GTO. Are you guys out of your damn minds? I can see some of you have been smokin the GOOOOD sheeba sheeba lately. I'm willing to bet that the reason DSS has a built motor STI now is because he blew the smithereens out of his old setup by running it to the jagged edge on the stock turbo....race gas, 30* timing, 10 hamsters on the wheel running full speed under the hood. Some of you guys are delusional.

LOL, yep pretty much the definition of most STi drivers. You ever read the comments on ANY youtube vid of a certain car beating an STi? I swear to god thier "STI radar" goes off and every single one of them jump in and say how much more godlike an STI is than any other car in the world.

EFI Logics is within a half hour of us. And I wouldn't be hating on Subies if the majority of owners weren't D-bags...but they are. Notice I said "majority" meaning, not all of them. Haven't seen you post anything dumb nolag05, but in my local experiences, there are far too many idiots in that group.

Thanx...lol. I try to have my coffee in the mornings before i post...lol.
I am in the DC/VA/MD area and the shop that built my monster is Andrewtech. Agile Auto and IAG are locals also that have some nice aftermarket turbo monsters. EFI has some nice cars but like you said nothing special with stock turbos... I had some nice kills with the stock turbo but i always ran meth so my numbers aren't good to use as a basis for stock power. I jus don't want it to end a bunch of crap like the mystic Mach I and 300 whp Civic threads...lol. I know what my car can do and when to go add another sticker(or three) before racing a H/C/I C6Z06...lol

ok so I have the top 3 scud missile list of automobiles.

1. 300whp Mach 1
2. 300whp Civic
3. 300whp Sti

That cover the apex predators of the modern automotive world?
