why would you put all of that money and power into a car and not have drag radials? The power is pointless if you cant put it to the ground.

Its 2009 V

About drag radials, I hate em because I almost crashed my car under very light rain when I had DR. Plus I havent tried my 6.0l setup on nitrous yet, this was a first time out. So next year I ll try nittos nt05. FYI my nittos 555 were hooking with my 5.7 on nitrous...

You can see I had traction in the vid against the V and I took the time to specify...

I have ran drag radials in down pours at 60-65 mph many times. I've never had any problems....

When I had my nitto 555r's i drove over an hour in a down pour at 60-65 mph and I was good. Its way more sketchy to me to beat on my car racing with street tires and possibly whipe myself and possibly the other drive out.

Thanks for the advice guys, but its not my first rodeo. My street tire were hooking with 550rwhp and now they are not. So now I will shop for better tires. I have a friend who lost control of his car in rain at 50mph so no DR are not safe IMO. PLUS it almost happenned to me.

Its funny plp are getting no traction with street tires and boltons when it took me around 590rwhp to reach the limits of street tires traction.

weird... I was spinning my 315 nitto Dr's on 19 psi when I was on motor from a 1st gear hit. I spin my MT's from a 1st gear hit now. your car must suffer on the low end or something lol. And I have had close calls on both street and dr's. More so with the Dr's in the rain. I have a decent rear suspension set up as well that either hooks hard or will just spin the tires. but they dig hard.

Good runs... and i feel you on the street tire thing. Im much more comfortable on a street tire then a DR. Ive spun out several times at very low speeds int the rain on DRs. I spun out and went into a small ditch on mickey thompsons going literally 30mph on the highway. Likely nothing happened and i drove right out. 555Rs work well in the rain but once the tread starts to get low, they suck. I personally prefer a very high competition street tire. You just gotta find the right tire. My sumitomos on my GTO cost me 75 bucks a tire, handled wet traction awesome... and took me to a 1.71 60 ft at the track.

I hated driving with my MT DR's in the rain. I always had to slow. To 20-30. If not the *** wants to come around.

Once you get to a certain power level it will be street tires that will be dangerous over Dr's. lol I wouldn't dare ride around on a regular street radial, and I don't drive my car in the rain either.
