Amazing how many times you can miss the point... It's like every 5 mins your brain resets and you forget the point of what is being said.

lmao he tends to do that. You will post a technical response and he responds with argumentative nonsense involving comments of how "stupid" or "clueless" etc etc you are. Not one thing has been said from him that provides or shows an actual knowledge of how to build a motor/car. He also has a habit of putting words in your mouth just so he can continue arguing with you. Its childish.

You can run a "big" cam in a DD and it still be very street friendly.

The cam in my last DD was 239* @ .050 Int./251* @ .050 exhaust and I drove it everyday without any problems.

Most good cam guys can make big cams street able.

He sure does as well as EPS,Texas Speed and others. Quality control at Comp sucks. Futral like Redfire had uses Cam Motion cams which are excellent. It is normal for Comp cams to deviate +/- 2°, with many fluctuating 3-4° which can cause power loss and affect piston to valve clearance. Cam motion cams are right on the money due to their inspection process each one is inspected.. I "think" Advance induction uses them as well. AI will usually request you send your Comp Cam to them to measure when they are doing heads for you due to their crappy quality control. Mine was okay but many others I know were not.
Cam Motion cams on average make more power and have better driveability than the other grinds due to this. I've done many/been around a lot of LS cam swaps over the last 10 years, and Futral and/or Cam Motions have always prevailed in performance up until I have seen some of these EPS,Pay G ones.
Their(Cam Motion) worse trait however(not sure about the newer versions) is valvetrain noise. They will turn your car into a sewing machine on steroids. The EPS/Pat G ones don't.

Some good reading here....

This is true, though some guy on this site (won't say names...cough*EvansGTO*cough) said this is not possible. No how, no way.

Many reputable vendors on this site.

I was referring to the actual people on this site. Either adam or the op should call a shop directly rather then come on here and try and get information.

Some more good cam reading regarding Comp cams. BTW the cam is not the fault of this failure the shop was(very obvious it was the cam bolts)
