I'm running a stock auto trans with no trans cooler, thing never overheats at 630+ rwhp 600+ rwtq on slicks and it's still there. Now that's what I call impressive. On the other hand, the SS manual trans are blowing up left and right with a CAI.

It's like saying look I got this fighter jet with radar but I'm not going to use the radar because it's more fun to try to spot enemy fighters with my skilled eye sight.

In a straight line, Autos have an advantage. On a road course, auto-x, or just general driving, nothing beats a Manual IMO.

I think you're playing a dangerous game with no trans cooler, though, 2SS. At least its one you can afford to lose at. LOL

"lose?"
What's that?
Oh must be one of those terms manual drivers use.

edit: Used to be die hard 6 speed guy, you can probably find posts from me about never owning an auto from not too long ago actually, but losing isn't fun, neither is breaking ****. I'll definitely own another 6 speed some day, hopefully in a C6 though. haha

Too each his own, anyone that can't see that part should kindly shut the **** up.
I know this is always getting beat to death, but Im the same way, had manual cars (Manuel?) and was a hell of a driver, Cant remember missing shifts ever. I was actually going to immediatly swap to a six speed when I bought my car, decided to give the stall converter a shot first.... Ill never look back. yes I know pushing down your left foot and moving a shifter is rocket science, and impresses all the kids at the street races behind walmart, but I prefer going faster.
