Not since the cam. I did with bolt ons but its not worth mentioning lol. With sumitomo 245's I ran a 12.8@111 before the cam @2200DA spinning into 4th with a 15mph headwind. Im guessing with a better tire I could pull off a high 11@118ish.

Not by me. Every Cobra I have ever ran made more power than me.....and lost. I've never ran a whippled car(tried to one night years ago) but from the looks of the last p/e,straight swapped cobra I ran their gonna need a whipple.

^ huh. With 441whp and 3500, you think thats all I will get? Only one way to find out. Also I really believe I would have trapped 113-114 with bolt ons only had I not spun half way down the track but I don't want to make excuses and I did get 57whp and 31tq from the cam.

Out of curiosity, are you near Janesville? We would be a entertaining race (C5's 432/410 at tire)

OP whats gonna hurt your mph at the track is gearing. You will need a 3.90-4.10 gear to really shine mph wise. ALOT of high trap speed is from whether or not the car is geared for the 1/4 mile. My guess is you will be shifting into fourth gear at around the 1000-1100 ft mark which is gonna hurt you for mph. If you could tach out 4th coming through the traps, you would see a much better mph.

I only noticed about 1-1.5 mph gain in the qtr goin from 3.42 to 4.10 back in the day. Nothing dramatic.....and almost not worth the change.

your car doesnt have a big peaky cam in it. You have a stock powerplant which has a pretty flat curve. These big cammed heavy cars benefit a lot from gear

not peaky like your thinking im saying. But that curve is still fairly different then a stock cammed curve. Your still accelerating harder at the top of your curve then in the middle of it.

I see what your saying. The car never sees less than 5k in a race so I think it works pretty well.
