Nice cars/run. Both sound great. Cobra sounds good revving that high!

Not really....not for a street car. It's nosing over by then. His graph is peaking @ about 61-6200. I would gear it to pull that or just below.
Hell I think my car needs a taller gear and I'm goin threw @ about 6500 and make peak @ 64-6500. But I like it to pull threw the trapps.

tq was dropping pretty good...did you look at that. Typically drag guys want to run out @ about the '1000 mark...maybe even a touch before. That makes for to much gear in a street car. I want my street car to pull threw the trapps, not every street race is a qtr mile.....matter of fact none of the ones that you have posted has been.

cobras don't need whipples to outrun you guys, but the owners of the cobras have to think about the heat soak of the eaton. if you ever seen a cobra during a dyno day make multiple runs the horsepower drops off every run they need meth injection, a little shot of nitrous or a good cooling down before a run with a bag of ice. these are the problems we termi owners have that a n/a car doesn't have to deal with, you guys have repeatable horsepower most of the time.

Well a pulley only cobra isn't as fast today as it was in 2004. (well it is, but everything else has gotten faster) I think a pullied cobra is a decent bench mark but most cobra owners thing they are still scud missiles. I'm sure like me, everyone has some specific type of car they want to race. For instance I would still like to run a stock 09/10 GTR, M5, 510hp viper, C63, etc...I get more joy out of racing "nicer" cars or cars people think are faster. I don't know, maybe its just me.

I figured a stock 03-04 Cobra makes 390 crank hp and the OP's GTO makes well over 500 crank hp. My math tells me, 500 - 390 = 110. And stock Cobra's do not put down 390-400whp. There's nothing to argue about to what I said.

You're making 440whp. You're closer to 100whp more then a STOCK 03-04 Cobra. This isn't unbelievable shocking news... Lol
