Anyways, it's not that big of a deal. Just by the title of the thread "Thought I might be fighting above my weight class" he wanted to paint the picture of himself as the underdog hero of the story. It is only natural to forget to mention he lost a few times. I love when some details get left out, then surface later. Regardless, good races.

I was using the purchased price, not depreciated. I paid 60 (back in 07) and have about 10 in mods, so 70 total.
The Black edition goes for 120+, add 18 in mods, you have a bit more into it than me. Doesn't matter, we had so much fun we're gonna do it again early next month. The guy with the 997 and the Ford GT wants to bring out his twin turbo Gallardo. Must be nice to have that kinda bread.

You keep digging yourself a bigger hole. Do some research. A 2013 Black Edition DOES NOT cost $120k+.
Yea, a GTR costs more than a Z06. Why are we arguing about this?

Big bucks cars, all the latest technology: launch control, all wheel drive, turbos, super fast shifting transmission, modded claiming 700 awhp Vs. less horsepower, rear wheel drive, clutch and manual tranny, no slicks or drag radials, knowing I can't use the nitrous in first gear (traction issue). In all the dig races I KNEW I'd be in trouble, and I was. Roll races, I did OK, till as I first stated, I ran low on nitrous. A N/A motor at high altitude is at a big disadvantage racing a twin turbo car. So, underdog, but head held high.

All at 625awhp. I hate imports, but that 625awhp GTR is quick. Imagine if it actually had 800 hp.

The GTR got beat, the Z06 got beat.
The OP told the story as if he never lost to a Schwitzer 800hp GTR (which actually was a Switzer P800 on 91 octane making 625awhp)... until he ran the ford GT with low NAWS pressure.
I think this is what the gtr kids are all pissy about.

Sup with the hate? For those who don't know a 6xxwhp GTR is easily a low 140mph car with no traction issues. Anyone trying to down play that car is an idiot. IMO i agree with the OP's title and statement about a "weight class above his".
