Default Turbo Trans Am vs GSXR 750

Last night I went out and drove a buddies corvette for him since he can't get in trouble. My friend followed in my trans am and ended up racing the bike. They went from about 60-120, bike got out roughly 2-3 bikes and ended up about a bike ahead with the t/a reeling him in. My car needs to be in 3rd from a 60 and rolled into to prevent it from downshifting. My buddy didn't have any practice at all and the car kicked down on him and spun from 60-95 ish. My car briefly decided it was out of gas which is why my friend let out and pulled over. The t/a is a rods pistons 5.3, 76mm @14 psi etc. 692 whp. Gixxer is an 05 750, stretched, lowered, slip on and power commander. Anyone who know's more about bikes than me have idea what that bike should roughly trap? We haven't had the car to the track yet and I'm trying to do some ricer math.

Bonus footage, shitty video of me driving the aforementioned corvette against a turbo s2k. Corvette is cammed with a 150 shot. I couldn't hear any honks so the s2k got out about a car and half and I pulled up to his fender and he let out. 60-120.

Sounds like you had fun. Couldn't see anything on that second vid with the unknown year/mod vette versus the S2000 of unknown mods.

The '05 GSXR 750 with those mods should be able to just crack the 9's with a trap around 130-135mph. Stretching them slows down the mph, and those powercommander and pipe mods add barely anything to the rwhp. Combine that with rider skill being so important to time and mph (not like a car that will be close in the mph even with a bad launch) so it's hard to tell what the mph will be.

I am surprised your T/A did not let the bike get further out,, very impressive. I have owned a GSXR 750, although not stretched, and they will jump if in the right gear. I now have a GSXR 1k and dont think the result would be near the same, maybe a bus by 120ish. There is just a big jump between the two. As far as trap, it was 6 years ago the 750 was at the track and I dont think I even have the time ticket anymore.

Nice pull though.

Yea from what my two friends in the car said the gixxer started in 1st and they started making up ground around 120. I'm going to get in a rematch in with me driving, the car not spinning and running it out faster than 120. My car is monster above 120.

Edit- Here's a video of me out having some fun just to give you an idea of the car.

My '05 750 trapped 131.6 in 500DA with traction issues in the beginning and 1/2 the air let out of the tire. Probably 133 on a clean pass.

My mods are filter (worthless), slip on, Power Commander with generic tune. 183lbs suited.

So very similar then I'd say the rider was probably right around your weight.

You're talking about the video behind the car at the drag strip right?

Thanks, I'm happy with the way it turned out. We're making some adjustments to the car and I'm going to hop in the driver seat and rematch the bike. I'm expecting a very different outcome.

Your car runs damn good. Stretched 750 should be in the high 9's easily with a good rider. Bikesd don't have a Top-End advantge at all (well unless it's turbo) so you should destroy him up top when you all run again.
