Thanks man!
I'm sure you guys know what was going through my mind when I saw him getting in his SRT8.
What gets me is this guy didn't have 25" wheels, he had the stock wheels. I've heard this is good for .5 in the 1/4th so me outrunning him doesn't really add up.
Does the SRT8 autos have some kind of launch control that he didn't use? SOMETHING had to have gone wrong.

Thats pretty crazy op cause just the other day Walking out of work I hear a car reving. I'm parked in the direction so I walk over to see two business men standing by a black car. The guy parks in this area all the time and I've looked at it before. It's a black Mach1 with silver ebay brakes on cobra wheels with double walled exhaust (aftermarket?). After hearing it I could tell it definately was aftermarket. Well I walk by as the guy was getting in his car so I get in the formula and start it up. Leaving he gave it a little gas to impress his buddy that was now getting in his cobra (I guess a Mach1 would be impressive to a a cobra owner since they are such "cookie cutter cars") and I could tell it was an automatic. Well just so happens he was going the way I was so I figured I would chase him down, not that I wouldn't have gone the other way. Leaving I got a little tire spinning to heat up the tires some cause im a huge ricer.
I caught up to him and lined up at the same redlight that ***** and I lined up at. I looked over at him and nodded. He had a smirk on his face and asked for my number I told him that i dont go that way but his car sounded good and asked him to rev it so he did for me (ricer). I then lold and he had a grin on his face. Light turned green and I left somewhere a little below 2,000rpms (no I didn't cheat and launch above 3,000rpms) with no wheel spin and the mach1 instantly lost half a car or more off the line. 6,000rpms came and I powershifted into 2nd while getting loose. At this point he was at least 1.5 to 2 lengths back and falling. By the time I hit 3rd gear all i hear is the mach reving out to 9k I think he gave up because he was a good 4 lengths or more back.
Now I know a mach1 is a turd with a couple mods so I'm going to assume it was driver error on his part. But I figured you guys might like the story, I know I went home with a grin. Wonder if he will try again?
