Meh, my parents are pretty well off. My 2v was actually more than the Ws6, but we talked them down and it ended up being the same price as the Ws6 was. Wouldn't necessarily call my 2v a "turd" as it is in really good shape and runs perfectly fine and gets me from point A, to point B. I would bet that my car is in better shape, inside and out than what your F-Body is.

My car was $8500, in better shape than your car, and probably has less problems than yours. Mine also doesn't sound like a truck/tractor like 99% if LS1's.
