Thanks guys! I know it was an incredibly unfair race, but I couldn't convince him of that so I just had to show him. The Cobra owner used to have an 01 2V that was geared and tuned. Fastest street car in town. Ask him. He'll tell you. 
One of our other friends has a fox with a "built 302" in it. But the guy that helped him on it said they literally pulled the motor, cleaned it up, and put it back in. So I definitely hear you on the gasket comment lol.
I've lurked this section of LS1tech for quite some time and have grown a deep appreciation for the Mach1 jokes haha. I raced a friend's intake/exhaust 350Z last week and for some reason it blew everyone's mind that I beat him from 40-90. Why? Because he whipped the local Mach1. The 350Z even wanted the left lane so his passenger could record it. .......he wouldn't send me the video.

The funny part of it is he's two years older than me. Young and dumb can't even be his excuse. Unfortunately, I live in a town where people think the louder it is, the faster is... 
You wouldn't believe how many tree-fitty Chevy short beds with rebel flags in the back glass have asked to run both my Camaro and Bee.
And I have nothing against Machs personally lol. The 350Z just had a much more adept driver, if that's any consolation!

Oh. I know how it is. Go the speed limit or even ten above it for awhile around here. I guarantee you get passed by a young punk in a jacked up truck and his girl will wave at you like you're slow simply because you let them pass you. I love living in the south, but it's a PITA sometimes.
