really? lots are dynoing 500-520 rwhp. are the cts v's a fail too?

you may consider yourself unbiased-- but you aren't.

Can't agree on that, considering that same LSA setup is in the V, and with minor bolt ons (intake, exhaust, pulley) the car sees 500+rwhp with no issues at all.

The main issue with the ZL1 is the same issue with all 5th gens.

Weight.

they're no heavier than the cts v. weight is a factor but the tuning gremlins are the main culprit.

Bad tunes are part of a powerplant. Just saying. I am unbiased. Very actually. But the zl1 is not a strong car for what it is. That's not biased opinion...that is a fact. The ctsv has 2 more doors and is faster stock for stock with the same motor. I love the ctsv...i love the vette. Just face the facts that a 500whp factory camaro struggles to trap high teens. The 2012 gt500s were still faster.

I think Evan says some dumb *** **** just to get a reaction. I noticed it's been worse since it was discovered how slow his modded car is. Someones got a chip on their shoulder. lol

lol i have no chip on my shoulder. The zl1 is slow. Thats a fact. No missing fracture on my shoulder. I dont need to back my car up at the track to show what it does on the street. Im only pissed about how i was un able to 8th mile the car. 8.13 at 90 is barely even bolt on f body territory.

Regardless, its a driveshaft away from going 11s on the same street wheel tire

Shocks are in, tubes welded, braided clutch line in, clutch bled, shifter in, shifter bracket in. Just installing my sway bars and links and a driveshaft. The rest is just waiting till the track re-opens. In the mean time ill buy wheels/tires/headers while i wait.

And by powerplant... i dont mean the actual engine and blower itself. If the ZL1 does in fact have tuning/heat soaking issues in 100 percent stock form... thats a powerplant issue. The ctsv runs hard stock. No tune issues, and definately no heatsoaking issues. I raced alfreds back when he went 11.5 at 120 when i just had a catback. From 50-150, he pulled me three quarters of a car every time. We raced about 17 times back to back because i was trying to get it to heatsoak so i could get a win lol. But it never slowed down.

Lol i remember Ron telling me about that. Hilarious that you kept racing him for like 1/2 hour trying to get his car to lose power, but it just never happened.

Sometimes you should just be quiet.

Your .5 off not even full bolt-on ls1 territory in the 1/8........with 70 more hp and more gear

The ZL1 is not performing in some guys hands as it should......others have gone 11's.....kinda typical.....same can be said for your Boss

lol ok Hio.

And for those who think my wheel hop was nothing but an excuse. When welding up the tubes and putting the shocks in today, i found my drivers side relocation bracket to be bent a half inch forward and the top bolt on the bracket snapped. Surprisingly the car drove straight. And thats me letting out when it happened. I cant imagine what would have happened if i stayed in it. Its bent back and welded up now so that wont happen again. And i have a picture as well.

And for those who think my shifting issues were made up, my new clutch line made the clutch grab a lot higher up. I dont have to stuff it through the floor board to get it to shift without grinding. Either there was some **** in the line..or it was expanding (because it was junk). New braided line fixed that issue.

And ZL1s are still weak sauce . Sorry to not bone the tail pipes of that car. Its also hilarious that the people preaching the ZL1 think the GTR sucks. To me... THAT is nutswinging. Id take a GTR 10 times out of 10 over the ZL1

Also ordering my BMR anti roll bar next week to complete my rear suspension

Damn.....I was led to believe by some on here that the mustangs chassis(everything about the car really) was the greatest thing since sliced bread.....you changed everything but the body so far just to get out of the 12's. I bet I could get a new Camaro in the 11's easier.

As far as the gtr vs ZL goes.....gtr for me. But the ZL looks bangin! If I could get a awd ZL then I would rater have the ZL. ZL's are far from weak sauce. Anything that can run 10's with bolt-ons is not weak sauce. Remember there is more to that car than a motor. The chassis is light years ahead of your Boss.

You fail to understand that all i need to do is put a small wheel and a big tire on the car and I'd have no issues. But i want to hook on a low profile. So it requires a lot of work. Stop hating man. I don't hate on f bodies or vettes at all. But you throw a lot at me for no reason.

As far as the zl1. On a factory low profile wheel/tire...its still slower both et and mph then me and it makes a lot more power and has an automatic transmission advantage. I'm sorry...but i don't see how that makes it a way better chassis.

If there's also something else I've learned...its not to argue with you. You're right. I'm wrong. Mustangs are the worst chassis ever
