Ive ran one. Basically full botled on minus LTs and he had a tune. I gave it the buss within 2 gears. Doubt longtubes would make up for the busses i gave him by the time i through 4th. Im not even tuned or fully bolted on, and i had fucked up o2s and the kid had a car and a half headstart lol. **** was a waste of gas.

yea built bottom end dont mean squat, you no that. and yes its a 125 shot. those races can go either way. mabye the cobra driver couldnt drive his car you raced, the same way you guys claim the vette driver cant drive. that part of have a fast car is putting in the seat time or its all a waste anyway.

The Cobra owner is a really close friend of mine, he's been racing cars since before i had my license. Shitty argument. Like i said from what IVE seen they are 101-103 MPH cars STOCK depending on the air and from the looks of it alot of guys on the net have gone slower so....

My buddies intake and exhaust (X pipe and catback) 96 Mystic on big n littles (MT ET Streets in the rears) ran a best 13.1 at 105, but highest trap has been 108. No gears or anything, H&R lowering springs. Oh and a short throw

Ive seen the exact opposite, ive seen 1 mph of a difference make it a 1.5 car difference on the street. Ive seen 5mph of a difference equal a bus.
If traction is equal trap speeds should never be thrown out the window. WE all see what happens at the track when a car spins TOO much, it kills MPH. Same thing on the street. For what the cobra has its pretty impressive, but i thought it was bolt on and 100 shot? Not built with a 125 shot, did he edit the OP?\

A stock fbody should be 106-108. Minor bolt ons should be 109-112. Full bolt on should be 113-117. Those are all average not taking into account weight reduction, awesome DA, etc etc.. Just normal times you should see on a given day at the track.

And to everybody yes i already broke my tranny. Im used to it. I went through 5 trannies in my mach 1 (3 factory and 2 promotion built trannies).

That gain is way off if you are talking true full bolt on cars... I'm not talking partial bolt ons (headers, gears, intake, tune).
Even if they trap 105, which is on the low, and full bolt on trap 110-112... Only gaining 5mph on full bolt ons is absolutely pathetic.

Im pretty sure my 02 would trap 110.. It has a lid and shorter stick on the shifter.
Have a buddy that trapped 108 at lsfest with about 200 extra #s of **** in the car and it was hot out. I pull roughly 1.5 lengths on him.
I pull 3-4 on my buddies catback and cai 06 ctsv.

My car trapped 107.8 bone stock in august heat. A airlid and GMS mass air 109. Poopy mac mid legnths ory on the stock cat-back 113. We did free mods only to a buddies trans am and it went 110.xx. All this is on a ls1 intake m6 cars and full weight, basically new cars on stockish type tires. Same track same days 4v cobra's with various bolt-on would be 99-103. We would flat demolish those cars from a dig or roll. From a dig they might hang around to 60mph but after that it was lights out.
Since then we have learned a few things and notch's car is reaping the benefits of that. If he can keep from killing it because he runs the living **** outta that car it may go near 120 with a few more mods and some tinkering. Notch's car is a 99 and it actually did 116.xx but close to 117.

They aren't as fast as a C5Z and I know it wouldn't take full bolt ons to outrun a C5Z.

It is rare to run into a true bolt on car... Before finishing full bolt ons, people usually do a cam.
