A little bit of ricer bashin' going on. Hey at least he had a nice, decently quick newer car, right. He wasn't very smart to say it could take your car. How would you have felt if the dude had a bone stock 92 civic with one of those giant fart cans on it and some sort of oriental writing all over it? Oh and a ginormous wing on it. I hate those, but I would take that Sube or an Evo any day. He just needs to race you off-road.
As far as off road, I have a Tahoe for that.
And if he wants to play in the twisties, I'll bring out the wifey's XLR... which is about to get upgraded to an 09+ CTS-V

This race is easy to explain. The Subie either had the ultra-common "anchor drop" option, or suffered from excessive wind resistance when the driver stuck his head out the window to complain about you only spotting him a couple of seconds. It really sucks when your mouth goes into parachute mode on the track. You catch bugs, exhaust, and the occasional crow.
Actaully, lots of crow. Nice kill.

Good run OP. Nice car and she definately runs strong.
I had a similar situation with a guy at work that has a H22 swapped Accord that wanted to race my TBSS. Needless to say it was ugly, and so were his excuses. LOL!!!

I had a similar situation with a coworker this summer. Our race was motor to motor. his car a 99 Acura integra with some bolt ons mine 2000 Z28 with a lid and bald Firestones. I feel the video shows the real lack of torque of the 4 banger motor has. he used the motor problem excuse. I,m installing a pt4000 this spring

I think you were on the return road before he caught 4th gear.
