I've got bfg kdws on the factory ws6 wheels and it will kill those things. even from like 5k in 2ndvit just goes to the limiter. 3rd gear will shimmy a bit if its under 60*

Watched the video again. Looks like that Camaro started half a car back during the honks, missed the hit, and was clearly at a bad speed for the gear.

Why didn't you guys do another run?

agreed! or invest in some good drag radials! my h/c stock suspension vette hooks from any first gear roll unless its like 17 degrees out and then just heat them up and they stick. It hooks from a first gear roll on spray as well.

cant even compare a c6 to a 4th gen fbod. the vettes, even c5s, are so much more composed.

if you think a 15mph roll is a good speed for a 342 geared ls1, you don't know anything. That might be the worst spot for that car, especially against a geared mach 1.

fwiw - I did mult races with a geared mach 1 when I had bolt ons. did 40s in first and in second and the outcome was the same every time. so from my experience, with 342s it dosen't matter if its 1st or second gear. and I had drs too, so it would hook in first.

My h/c stock suspension camaro hooked just fine in first with nittos with 3.42 and 3.90 gears.

fact is its a good kill..should they have went from a 50+ roll and left at the same time..yes..chalk this one up to stopsign's experience and the driver mod

a 30-35 roll is a great first gear roll but you are still going to pull him...and Hio is still going to bitch......

30-35 would be good for me. I hate roll racing but it would put me at a good spot in 2nd gear. I just wanna make sure its fair for the ls1.

yea that is the best first gear roll with stock gearing, but like what you said that still puts you in your power as well.
