Those B head cars wake up with a good short runner. Without that I agree, meh.

it had exaust, 4:10's, dr's, cai and aluminum flywheel. it belonged to a friend of mine. the 4:10's helped a lot on the fron half but it trapped like 8-10 mph less than my ls1. it just couldn't keep up.

Like I said. Plus 4.10's aren't near enough gear for a 96-01

They do help because the 3.27 gears are seriously a joke. But the difference between 4.10s, 4.30s, and 4.56s are a big difference.

26 or 28 tire? Figured you would be shifting to 5th well before the quarter. Unless you run 8th

Nope. 4.56s are good for 117mph and 4.30s are good for 126mph.

Maybe with a 27" tire and or 7000+ rpm. But those things ran out of breath way before that. There not gonna achieve those mph's in the 1/4 either.

they can't go fast enough to reach those speeds in the 1/4 unless they are completely gutted. He uses gear to over come not having tq.

ea the 3.27's were a major joke. very hard to launch with that engine too. it was very touchy--- either bog out or burn out.
