My educated guess says 115-116 on a good day at LVD and 114-115 on an average to warm day.

Thanks, man! I have to say I couldn't be happier with how this build is coming out. Next up will be heads and an intake and then wheels/tires.

My personal recommendation would be to talk to Rick Crawford about one of his ported "air-ram" intakes and head work. He has done everything on my car from the ground up, everything has been perfect and he is excellent to deal with. Honestly I couldnt be happier and I will continue to do business with him.

Contact him @ ls-4-speed@nc.rr.com for more info.

You know a man is serious when you show up at his house and he has his own flow bench set up in the garage....

Great runs. The Regal is running strong.

How high are you gonna go with the boost?

Yeah, I'd followed some of his threads and he seems like a nice guy who knows what he's doing. I'm gonna be going a different route though, cathedral port 220 Trick Flows and a FAST 90mm intake.

Thanks!

21-23psi on e85... that should really do some work. It picked up probably 100whp going from 8psi to 12psi.

i thought you lost by a car last time you guys raced? 100whp and that actual gain on the highway doesnt seem right. I was thinking more like 40hp... but i guess you would know better then me about that platform

Last time we raced I brake boosted and hooked, I still lost by 1.5-2 cars. That was also on his other wheels/taller tires.
This time I rolled into it, spun, fell back a car and then started coming back on him.

Probably about 100whp LOL

My car has always needed ~20whp more than SRZ to run even with him up top. To pull on him up top after giving up momentum and I'm likely making ~40-50whp more than he is.
IMO

I'll go to the dyno soon after I work on the tune.

What are you gonna do about traction/breakage at that point? Obviously it's cold out right now, but if it's already spinning at 55mph, I imagine sticky tires will be needed even in warm weather to be useful at that speed and power level, nevermind lower speeds. And how are the tranny and axles gonna hold up if you are hooking once you up the boost?

The axles will never break... I need a built trans and some hoosiers.
I've been gathering parts for a 6spd swap but I would never be able to race anyone from a dig or bring the car to the track... it'd be 100% a 40 roll car.

If I build an auto, I can set it up to hook from a stop or low speeds... but then I still have an auto

Well I could turn it to 21 right now... I'll just instakill the trans.
I would hope by spring I'll have made up my mind on the transmission options.

It only takes a few hours to R&R it.

How much power will you be making at 16psi? Hopefully the tranny can take it!
