Well I am not going to bench race man I just know most gtos are turds. That 10.6 @ 127 is going to take alot for a gto. A well driven mild bolt-on gt500 is a solid 125+ car. Uh no not really on the race car features part. Full bolt ons k member set of racestars = 11s with good driving and traction.
And i know what machs are capable of. Full front a rear race suspension, bogarts, full exhaust, ported intake, pro shift trans, clutch, 4.88 gears, 28 inch slicks, ewp. Max effort stock motor. Car made 320whp...went 11.7 at 115 in average air. Car was 3250 with driver.
I think you need to build a chevy to humble yourself a bit.

What do you classify as a mild bolt on gt500? My GTO went 11.4 at 120 on street tires with 8psi in them in 1000da. I lost mph dropping air pressure to get the car to hook up a bit. Had that been on say a 555r with 20+psi in them and been able to launch WOT, would have gone 11.0-11.1 at 122-123 in the same weather. Car weighed 3630 with me in it that day and made 450whp through the auto. Stock 3.46 gear, stock ls6 intake, stock air box, stock wheels, etc. Cwartas car is a much more finished project then mine was and is a bit lighter. Trust me when i say, he will walk mild bolt on 08 Gt500s. Not a hit on you... just how it is.

I imagine that setup would have been a decent run with your old gto.I know what machs are capable of too. 3050 racewight 4.56s full boltons 10.9-11.1 @ 120+. It does not take 4.88s and a 3250 raceweight to run high 11s in a bolton mach.
I will pass great platforms just not for me
