Hell i did when i was a bolt on with a 125shot and around a 122mph car. This was 6 years ago and back then i really thought i beat that car. Now knowing what i know. No doubt in my mind i beat the driver.

It speaks volumes about a Z when saying that a built-*** Gto on spray will walk a stock one.
Which is why I'm getting a corvette. No point in modding a boat when I can start off right.

Stoppy...nice run man!!! Your MACH runs strong...
I think your gears, trans gearing, low weight and torque kept you in the game for that period of time.
Now if you wanted to stay in that race longer and possibly pull out a win, $700 wil get you a nice 100 or 150 shot kit that would surprise a lot of people.
My buddy's 01 Cobra (TBCobra) is a totally different animal with that shot.
Regardless, that MACH does run hard for the minimal bolt-ons you have..BTW...get a vid next time..LOL

I've done enough surprising. I want something fast. I hate the fact that it takes close 600rwhp to outedge stock Z06s. So I'm going to have a 700rwhp+ Vette so I can outedge most cars.

Good run, OP. I agree your gearing, etc, kept you where you were in relation that GT500. You may have treed him just a tad too going from a roll like that, doesn't take much (half a second is a lot) to get a good lead, not saying you did. Either way, nice run.

I can testify to that ^^^ TB's Cobra runs strong as hell on the N2o. Definitely a good cheap route for the 4V.

From the look of the race I think a MAF and longtubes would have made the difference.

My thoughts exactly, and basic things like exhaust, new wheels, non run-flat tires, lighter driveshaft, running it on 1/4 tank, etc would drop out some more weight and still allow you to have creature comforts and not strip anything out of it to compensate for adding your weight to it

The C6 looks decent, handles well, and was comfortable and quiet.
