Cheaper to go fast.
People like bikes?
Not everyone can afford a $20,000 car build?

I have enjoyed reading this thread. I've been riding bikes for 43 years and I've owned an LS1 WS6 for 6 weeks. I sold a fairly fast V-Twin to buy the car, but I still have a slow V-twin in the garage. No, not a Harley, LOL. I would say I fall into the serious rider category, AGATT is the way I roll.
It takes a lot of money for a car to run as fast as a cheap bike, but they are completely different, so it is almost apples & oranges. Although some newer cars have a killer pull between 60-120 that can surprise you on bike. You can just be farting around on your bike and suddenly realize that if you don't get serious, the car is going to make you look like a fool. Prior to about 1998 or so that just didn't happen.

Damn it beans... you beat me to posting all of those videos...

Heres another with some various cars racing a few bikes... and some addition car races.

Both the riders in this video are about as good as youre gonna get. The chance of you running into a rider like them on a cruise is slim to none. To put it in perspective.... i raced a 2004 gsxr 750 from 40 and 70. Every single race... i came around him at 140mph pretty hard. I literally laughed as i was doing this because i knew it was bs (kid was just a rook). I then raced this 750 2 days later. Well it was fairly ugly for me... i won one race out of 8 or so. And it was a 70 roll, i had the hit, and he started up a gear while shifting incredibly slow... and the only reason i won was because he clipped the limiter going into fifth and stopped his momentum which i started to pull. Mind you that was when my car was fairly slower. But still not in the same league as any of the car he beats in this video.

The one thing thats good about those types of riders is that theres a good chance you will embarrass them in front of there always super smoking hot girlfriends. Seriously the kid with the 750 i raced that night... has the hottest girl i have ever seen. its bs really.

Ive debated buying a Garden Lyte Weed Eater.... Parking across from there "Hangout", Riding the weed eater over running FULL SONG, like a stick horse... Blowing some 2stroke oil around on them, hitting the kill switch, flip my leg over the side.... Drop my weed eater and yell "Shiiiiiiitttttttt!!!!!! MY BIKE BRO!!!!"

99.6% of them around here are REAL TOOL BAGS! And during the yearly cruise night (About 500 cars 1950s-present muscle) they will be THE 1ST to ******* a nice rare muscle car with their plastic **** piles...

I understand that most of these Bikes are Very VERY quick for a decent price at that..... But having to PRY for attention like a Elementary school kid is pretty damn GAY!

So that settles it, I'm moving to somewhere more awesome. Seriously Tampa is sucking so bad right now I've been Honda fly bye'd by two 350 z's. I haven't seen any good stuff in a while, the cops have destroyed the local hangout/race spots

As said, bikes are fast but the riders are not. It seems impossible to find a good rider...but at the same time if you ask any of them, they are all the best riders.

My car probably traps a touch under 120 and from a 55-60 roll I haven't lost to a 600 yet because of the rider. Get your car together and go hunting.

Plenty of people including a moderator here have dipped stock 600 bikes into the 10s. So unless you have a 10 second car, you only beat the rider.

BTW bikes are made to go fast in curves. Thats a lot more fun

Maybe its just me and the bike riders I ride with, but most serious riders won't do any serious rolling with cars. We ride twisted back roads and only occasionally get on open/multi lane roads, to get to more twisted stuff.

^well thats fine, I'm just saying, the bikes that I have raced in a straight line from a roll did not win. It wasn't the bike, it was the rider. My car isn't fast...they are just slow.
